The Peugeot Jetforce 125 is very fast and gets you away a lot quicker than cars. It's looks are very good, great for in the city and even touring. I just recently purchased a 2008 peugeot jet force 125 abs efi.I've been really impressed by it's performance as it can certainly shift! I can see a lot of negativity on here but hopefully I don't have too much bother with mine?! Does seem to vibrate quite a lot, can't change kmph into mph on the dials, quite a heavy scooter and cant find much info on the internet regarding them.

The Peugeot Jetforce 125 is the fastest scooter off the block,
nice and smooth(the faster you go the smoother the ride)not like other make...
It's a really good bike, very reliable,if you buying a second hand 1 make sure all the
electrics work on the bike...

Like this bike very much although getting parts for it is a bit of a nightmare.
Very crisp acceleration and good top speed great for a roads or motorways
p.s I just orderd the spark plug but I need an oil filter does any one know the code for it or what type it is? also I want to use the best oil around any reccomendations?
All around a nice bike but not worth near on 4 grand though!

My Peugeot Jetforce is the 125 compressor, I have owned it for about 6 months it was purchased to ride for pleasure I have another scooter for commuting, it is great fun to ride and sounds great, it is a heavy scoot though but not sure thats a bad thing because its weight seems to help with the handling, it is fast for a 125 4 stroke at around 85mph top speed.
The bodywork seems a little fragile but as yet have not been a problem also the exhaust is made from rolled steel so it will rust quickly and the factory replacement isn't cheap, overall a great scooter, fun to ride and so far reliable.

i still own this scoot and it has given me no major problems, only a minor oil leak fixed easily by myself, its a great machine and technically advanced, not recommended for people with no mechanical experience as if you wish to get the best from it you will need to work on it yourself.
i used to be a mechanic on peugeot scooters and bikes, i will say the jetforce compressor is very fast, great fun to ride but think of it like a ferrari you wouldnt use it for work every day but you would look after it and enjoy a ride to show off.
i will give a few tips to those who own both this bike and the others in the jetforce range (125), to try and help you get your moneys worth from the bike in the face of poor dealer support.
i will start with some key things to do and advance on to the most common fault.
* keep it dry (garaged when not in use)
* keep it clean and grease metal parts such as stand springs, joints and levers etc
* remove panels and greese all electrical contacts in connectors that do not have rubber seals (keep water out and prevent corrosion)
* seal the digidash with silicon (keep water out)
* check all hoses and pipes for chaffing and secure or protect accordingly
* check oil levels often including supercharger gearbox (little screw with copper washer) should be upto the hole when sittin level on the ground, if its low use gearbox oil (same as in the transmittion case) also check the rear gearbox inside transmittion cover (requires considerable dissasembly but important nontheless) its under the rubber bung next to the clutch check fluid is upto the hole
* keep metal parts painted if the stand or exhaust start to rust then take them off, remove all the rust with a wire brush or wheel and then repaint them with stove paint or similar (if you do this regular regardless of visible rust it will most likely outlast you!)
* use high grade fuel (keeps injector clean)
* check wiring for chaffing and corrosion, greese and secure as neccasary.
right thats the maintainance schedule my bike recieves on a regular basis and apart from a minor oil leak discovered and quickly fixed i have had nothing but good time and enjoyment from this bike, now i am aware of the fault with backfiring etc so heres some info on that for the more clued up...
usually caused by injector blocked, throttle body dirty, damaged or corodded wiring, blocked airfilter and bad spark plug.
obviously check filter and plug and wiring first, remove and clean the throttle body inside using carb cleaner (also do the ACV (air control valve) which is the black box connected to the 2 nipples on the throttle body.
remove injector and uplug ignition coil, switch on the scoot wait for prime then press start button watch the injector spray pattern (aim at paper) should be 2 fine mists, if they look weak or 1 is missing use a 12v low current to hold the injector open and then blow through with compressed air from the tip out through nipple this should clear blockage and give clean with carbcleaner, usually this will fix the problem if you are unlucky then you probably need an injector or throttle body, get a dealer to assist you in which one you need if you do not know how to test them.
hope this helps, they really aint bad scoots if you know what to do but im not sure they were quite ready for average joe.

I love my Peugeot Jetforce 125 to bits would recommend it to any one if motor bike shop sets it up right from start should run like a dream.

The Peugeot Jetforce 125 gives you top performance for this type of scooter, however, this is the second Jetforce I have owned and the corrosion is very bad on both bikes, even though it is garaged. When it comes to any kind of corrosion problems, Peugeot aren't interested at all and basically try to fob you off, but do persist.

The Peugeot Jetforce 125 has loads of torque and it has a nice sound to it. It's fast off the mark and it looks a lot better than my previous bike (Speedfight 2). It's a nice shade of red, general thumbs up! It has an electronic speedometer, fuel injection, very low fuel consumption, good looks, nice high riding position, nice dash layout, liquid cooled, and clever seat opening. No kick start, a bit of a hard ride but other than that, it's ok.

My Peugeot Jetforce 125 has never let me down in terms of reliability, I was surprised by some of the reviews here, maybe I got a good one? My main complaint is the vibration which has caused bolts to come off the downpipe and made the oilpipe become detached. Other than that it hasn't let me down mechanically after 6900 miles of hard riding, it always starts first time and cruises comfortably at 45-50 mph. Sorry to be the odd one out but mine works fine!

Hi I've had my Jetforce 125 for nearly 4 years now and at the beginning it was ok. After a few months trouble started it lost power and started spitting, banging and backfiring. After 3 weeks at the Peugot mechanic and a visit from one of the company's overseas mechanics all the electric system was checked and the engine got nearly dismantled but no fault could be found and the bike remaind the same. I decided to change the cable harness and battery from my own pocket even though it had a 2 year warranty and it came as good as new and stayed that way for several months. After informing the Peugeot mechanic about this he said it could have been that the injector was not getting enough voltage. Never mind. Now in the last 10 months for unknown resons I had to change the voltage regulator/rectifier twice at Euros80 each time and there doesn't seem to be anything that is blowing them everything checks ok on their computer the only reason given to me was that as I dont use the bike when I am working abroad the regulator/rectifier gets overworked trying to charge the battery when I start it (with difficulty) after 5 weeks not working could this be the case? To be fair I like the Bike it has given me quite good rides and do enjoy riding it. I don't intend to replace it just yet but these faults make a good bike look bad.

I had the Peugeot JetForce 125 ABS Scooter from new for about 1 month and have done about 400 miles so far.
Apart from the vibrations at slow speed from the front wheel, the bike performs very well so far (fingers crossed). The ABS system is excellent and saved me running into the back of cars a couple of times already :)

Here again, after 2 months of ownership of the Peugeot Jetforce Scooter (50 tsdi) and 3000km, it seems that many things are better than they looked. Everything is working perfectly.

The fuel injection system makes this Peugeot Jetforce 125 Scooter different from the others. Scooters are a very basic bike that can be fixed by almost any mechanic, however ther jetforce has an air filter system that only a trained mechanic could fix. Belive this or not, one of the most common faults with blocked air filters, is use of low grade/economy fuel like tescos own brand unleaded. try more expensive premium unleaded like esso Ultimate unleaded. For only a few pence more (30-50p) per full tank, you have a higher graded and cleaner fuel which will save you money in the long run.

I own the Peugeot JetForce 50 TSDI Scooter. It has the most attractive design you've ever seen.
The water temperature had never exceeded 85 C when riding uphill and with 2 persons.
25litr unleaded and 600ml synthetic oil for 730 km.
I pray for no other build quality problems and great reliability for all Jetforce's owners.

my jetforce had same prob as you not starting in the morning so i took it two the dealers who kept it overnight when I rung them next day it didn't start at all. That was 3 weeks ago now just been told got to wait another 2 weeks to get the bike back because only trained peugeot mechanics can fix it. As soon as i get it back im selling it and buying an rs 125. Dont buy a Jetforce there not reliable and you will have probs with it.

The Peugeot Jetforce is an entirely new kind of scooter, a whole new construction design, a particularily good framework, called a Direct Perimetric Framework. The scooter is made by Peugeot and settles in at the top-range classes of the scooting business. The price is expensive, but its well worth your money. On te 125cc version of the Jetforce, a compressor is built in, which gives you the equivalent of an 250cc motorcycle, all in all, Peugeot delivered a masterpiece in both categories, Yamaha beware, cause Jetforce is there...

i still have this same bike and it has not yet given me any problems accept for a minor oil leak that i fixed myself.
i will say these are very complicated and advanced machines and unless you know what you are doing to work on and maintain a supercharged vehicle then this is probably not for you, i was previously a peugeot mechanic for scooters and bikes so i know how to diagnose and repair anything this bike can throw at me, many parts such as supercharger-bearings, rectifier etc are common to other bikes also and can be fixed cheaply if you know what you can get away with, but if you have to rely on dealer servicing you will need a healthy bank account.
if i were to give tips on getting the most from your machine they would be..
* keep it out of the rain when not in use
* seal digidash with silicone around the seams
* maintain oil levels (engine/gearbox/supercharger)
* pull apart and grease all electrical plugs that do not have seals on them (under front pannel)
* keep the airfilter clean (use vacuum cleaner)
* keep the bike clean and use greese/oil on joints
* use high grade fuel (protect injector)
these are the key points but im sure you get the idea, dont rely on a dealer to do it (they wont), they dont have the time to prepare each bike in a maticulate mannor.
misfireing/backfiring is usually due to a bad sparkplug/dirty injector or throttle body or associated wiring, if you know what you are doing then check wires for shorts or green rot, clean throttle body with carbcleaner and check electrical connections, replace or clean injector (use injection cleaner and compressed air (power the injector with 12v low current to open while blowing backwards with air then check spray pattern on the scoot by turning on the ignition then press the start button with the coil disconnected and check both holes are clear.
i hope this helps those of you with the skills to enjoy a wondefully advanced scooter the way i have without spending a fortune, for the others i suggest swatting up on how fuel injection works and general mechanics skills if you want to enjoy this to the max.
