Good Points: The first ten minutes were odd, but quite funny.
Bad Points: The next hour was diabolical.
General comments: We had taken our family out to celebrate our eldest son's 21st birthday. We went for a meal, then to see a film. We couldn't all agree which film to see, so finally thought a comedy with Steve Coogan must satisfy all our tastes. How wrong we were. A Cock and Bull Story is a bizarre story, which starts off in 16th century England, with flash forwards to the actors making the film and a few funny moments. Then it concentrates on the entire cast and crew, with scant reference to the characters of the story, and just the gossip and back biting of the film makers. We gave it the benefit of the doubt for a further hour, but finally all agreed to leave before we fell asleep. How on earth they got funding to make this I'll never know. Steve Coogan should be ashamed of himself.
