Good Points: Picture quality, and ease of use.

Bad Points: The silver colouring on the buttons and corners of the camera have started to wear.

General comments: My Fuji Finepix A405 digital camera was bought as an introduction to digital photography. I have taken thousands of photos, ALL of excellent quality. I have emailed, Photoshopped and burnt pics onto DVD's, all with excellent results, and the 4 mega-pixel rate gives an excellent picture quality when blowing them up into poster size. I have had no problems over the last 10 months, until the other day when I got my camera out and turned it on to take a photo of my cat sleeping in a weird wonderful place, and I got a 'focus error' on the display. I have tried everything to reset the camera, and still no joy. I think it will have to be a new camera! I would like to buy the same model, as I have had no complaints until now. Has anyone else had this happen? How common is this? Can it be fixed?

I bought this Fuji A405 digital camera at Christmas on special offer for £100. It is my first digital camera, and more than lives up to the hype! I have already taken some superb photos around my town, and the quality for the price is excellent. It has all sorts of technical features which are more than bells and whistles as they are actually useful, but it has 'auto' features for those who merely want to 'point and shoot' too. Great camera for your first digital...

My wife bought me this Fuji FinePix A405 as my first proper digital camera ( I had a Aiptek PenCam)as a Christmas present. I managed to have it up and running with minimal effort early enough on Christmas morning to take photos of grandchildren opening their presents. Resolution was excellent - I set it to 4M - and gives good crisp photos. Optical zoom easy to master and photo transfer to PC is easy too. I would recommend this camera to anyone as first camera as the specification matches other c ...

I bought this Fuji FinePix A405 (my first Digital) camera a few days ago and was up and running in no time. I would highly recommend this model to first-timers. It features a 3x Optical zoom and a true 2MP resolution SuperCCD sensor. It also has settings for 0.3,1 & 4MP and a movie mode (no sound though) and macro for close-ups. A 16MB xD card is included to store approx 25 images on the 2MP setting. (I would recommend buying a 64MB xD card which stores approx 101). Like most digital cameras it ...
