Good Points: None
Bad Points: Staff unfriendly, expect delays, expect errors with Vege meals.
General comments: 2 days before we were to fly back from Sharm to Gatwick, we were told that our airline is in maintenance and we were to downgrade to a smaller plane. No longer were we to expect the TV screens or larger seats. Airline was delayed and we have found the staff to be unfriendly, inconsiderate and rude.

We flew Cardiff to Arrecife, Lanzarote on the 19th April and I must say, really enjoyable flights. We were all sat together and we we served Omelette, potatoes, veggies, fruit, bread, and a muesli yoghurt which I really enjoyed! and a nice cup of tea. Small cups but what the hey. On the way home we were last to check in so we thought we'd be all split up. 6th April disaster day if you were going to Cancun. Recently flew to Cancun and just thought you might like to know about how Thomson look after their paying customers - if you can't be bothered to read on then quickly.

On a recent flight (March 2008) from Luxor to Manchester I purchased extra leg room sets. I was shown to row 2 seats E and F, row 2 on this plane was directly in front of the bulkhead and offered less legroom than a normal seat would have as you can't even put you legs out in front under the seat and the bulkhead is literally about 5 inches from the end of your knees when seated. I complained to the cabin staff who agreed with me but said they could do nothing, they didn't know of any complaints ...

I was booked on the Thomson flight due to depart on Sunday 6th April at 8:55pm with my wife, three year old son and one year old. On arrival we noted there was to be a delay which is expected from Thomson leaving Telaviv since this flight was started. (I may note we flew in the past on the Manchester route with a delay but only compliments on the trips as a whole.)

The weather could of been warmer but never the less we had a fabulous time went on a few day trips must say however dot know how the reps at the airport put up with the abuse they receive totally unfair people just try to get away with rules and regulations thought Thomsonfly would have had better clients than Easyjet. Seville is a must, however, it is not suitable for children or wheelchairs.

A 46 hour delay from Tel Aviv to Luton, extremely poor management of a fragile situation with continual miscommunication and lack of communication to passengers. Thomson Fly had no presence in Israel and the ground staff in Tel Aviv airport were at times rude to customers. Her flight was called for 9pm on Sunday night. On arrival at the airport we discovered it was delayed till 10.30. I left at 10pm. Then it was delayed till 11.30. At 11.30 they delayed it till 12. At 12 they announced that the flight was cancelled for that day but would fly at 5am the next morning (Monday) and they would put people up in a hotel. We stayed at hotel Sant Lucia in Palma It was great just what we expected, 5* accommodation. Even though rated as a 4*. I will be returning with a large group in Jan 09. The flights were nice and smooth. We only had one fault and that was on the way back home we were put in these seats and they started to move us around because of kids by the emergency exit's. Bad seating, did not have the right food on board the aircraft. Delayed 3.5h on the way and on the way back we were delayed 2h. I would not fly with them if on a long journey (more than 2.5h) There are no good points.

The most budget airline I've ever flown with, wouldn't even recommend it! At least with Ryanair, you know what you get - no frills! If you're flying Thomson, make sure you bring snacks and drink people! London > Cancun --- outbound journey: 3h delay. Salzburg to Gatwick, scheduled departure 1255 Sat 1/3. Boarded at 1330 and told delay due to high winds and late landinig of plane (fair enough). Then told by Captain that slight hydraulic problem and engineer on the way. At about 1430 we were told that the engineer could not fix the fault. flew with thomson gatwick to lanzarote...flight was on time both ways. Very friendly staff on outbound flight...not so good on return, looked particular;y bored!!
Informative captain both times, letting us know where we were at various stages of flight
Seats were OK , not too cramped and food was actually quite good...would use Thomson again

This was the 5th long haul flight with Thomson Fly, they were all late to a greater or lesser degree and I think the Operations Dept. needs to get its act together because this is colouring the reputation of the airline (in my opinion).

I went to Hurghada in egypt with thomson(well ment to be) and then found out we were flying with excel airways. We were in First class and we ordered a warm omlete with egg bacon beans and sausage with a cup of tea. I got cold chicken and sprouts. On my bookng it said a guranteed meal. So I complained and they said on that flight there was a shortage of staff but the flight attendet said to me we have to deboard some of the crew becasue they had too many!
Well I still havent got any responce ...

Thomson Fly was overall a most enjoyable holiday and a first for booking a holiday online would probably do it again i hadn't read any reviews on this hotel and just simply picked it for what it was offering and i wasn't disappointed

Flew Thomsonfly from LGW to Cancun end Oct07. We had a 26 hour delay. We were all sitting on the plane, had loads of legroom with seat back TVs and waiting to take off when they said there was a tech fault and would be delayed 4 hours. It then went from bad to worse. Flew Thomsonfly from LGW to Cancun in December/January. Paid £100 upgrade fee for premium and was shocked at the lack of service by the crew - not sure what it would have taken to prise them from the galley. Seats were slightly wider and more leg room than in economy.
