    Have just returned from Gran Canaria,had a great time but..Thomson Fly was terrible. As a regular air traveller I have to say that this is probably the worst filght operator I have ever traveeled with. On the journey out we were told there were no extra legroom seats available. Being 6 ft 3' I struggled to fit into the 'normal' seats to an extent that I had to have my feet out in the aisle, being trod on every time a stewardess walked passed (one even tripped over me!) only to find two empty seats with extra leg room. When asked if I could move, we even offered to pay there and then, was told that I wasnt allowed to move seats and they couldnt take any money on the plane -then they started selling duty free! It wasnt until we started quoting health and safety and litigation that they suddenly decided that they COULD move me. On the flight home, we did manage to pay for extra room only to find that I was sat right by the door with less room than the 'normal' seats - no move possible. The staff were young and immature, joking around about cross checking the doors to ensure they were cloised. One steward even started talking to a group of girls telling them how they can sweet talk the baggage handlers to take excess luggage on board without paying. I had coffee spilt on me with no apology, and on approach to landing,one steward was so worried that he'd miss his train home, he had his suitcase laying on the floor in front of me whilst making doubly sure that my bum bag wasnt loose and might fall off of my lap- when the doors opened, he was one of the first off of the plane - customers come second, obviously

    The one thing I did like though, was that it got us to where we going on time. Would I fly with Thomson again.......Not a chance! I do not like writing such negative things about hotels or airlines, but this was by far the worst flight, there and back, ever.

    Flown out to sharm with monarch, great flight large aircraft, good service booked as a package and ended up on different airlines, which was odd but didnt think much of it at the time.

    Flown back with tompson. Asked for a window seat to start with, none available. Asked to sit with my fiance, 2 seats together not avilable! Delayed at sharm el sheik by 2 1/2 hours.     Really comfortable seats- most legroom I think we've had on many flights. Seat back entertainment was great too- games and a choice of TV or film. Only slight issue was because we hadn't ordered an in-flight meal we had to wait a long time for a drink. We would definitely fly with Thomson Fly again.

    oN THIS FLIGHT WE WERE 25 HOURS DELAYED ALL TEHY DID WAS PUT UP UP IN BEWLEYS HOTEL AND EACH TIME WE FOUND OUT WHEN OUR FLIGHT WAS LEAVING WE WOULD BE DELAYED BY ANOTHER 2 HOURS I WOULD NEVER FLY WITH THESE AGAIN AS THEY WERE VERY UNFRIENDLY AND WERE NOT HELPFUL AT ALL,

    I booked a flight only deal through Thomson. From the off, I had the impression that Thomson were just trying to extract every last penny from me whilst giving me no added value. The booking itself was a minefield of hidden charges.     Have always booked package before but this time booked flight seperate. Received tickets and noticed that only one hold bag 20kgs p.p. We always have three lighter bags due to back problems but were charged £16 for third bag though all three only came to 34kgs.However package flight passengers were checking in more than two bags at no extra charge.     My Fiance and i booked a package holiday to Florida through Thomson's and decided to upgrade our seats as it was his first time to florida. All i can say is you get exactly what you pay for, choice of meal free drinks and more leg room we both though it was real value for money after all it is only Premium Economy and not first class therefore dont expect to suddenly be treated like a celebrity. Good crew, okay food and everything was on time. definitely would upgrade again for long haul.

    Thomsons and First choice seem to have merged and are somewhat lacking in basic customer service training?

    Example
    On our outbound flight the cabin crew came round quite late into the flight promoting a drinks offer that was taken up by some passengers sitting near us and then returned quite soon after to tell these people "finish them now or we'll have to go round again and brake hard on landing" Wonderfull if your a little nervous!

    I was quite frankly appalled by the low standard of customer service on this airline. I have flown with them before a few years ago and had no problems at all but how times have changed.
    When we booked on line we requested a non-standard meal for my girlfriend. On checking in the night before the flight we asked at the desk for confirmation that this had been arranged.     Warning if you are flighing with someone who is disabled.just back from Lanzarote flying with Thomson airways.     we got back from turkey in marmaies on Thomson. we stayed in a place called club candan we had got there late it was about 11.30 and when we got there, there was the bar staff outside helping us in with out luggage. there were 11 of us that went. the first day we had a turkish bath it was wicked i would recommend you have one done it makes your sun tan better. we also went to see a show called talk of the town it was amazing. the waiters were good. they were wicked to they did some of the shows ...

    I've just returned from Kefalonia and flew with Thomsonfly Airways. Check-in efficient and quick and flights left on time. In fact, return journey flight left twenty minutes early. Captain extremely informative throughout flight and cabin crew helpful, friendly and efficient. The aircraft appeared to be fairly new and was clean and comfortable due to good legroom.     The food was a real let down, not very nice and small portions. My real complaint is about the rudeness of some of the cabin crew. My 6 year old needed the toilet, we waited for the queue to disappear before leaving our seats. The stewardess had just begun their duty free sales but refused to move the trolley one seat forward which would have let us pass through to a gangway.     What a pleasure to begin our holiday with a great flight. It was good to have a cabin crew who communicated and made the whole journey really enjoyable. I don't like flying but this team made it as comfortable as it can get for me!! The food was remarkably tasty and piping hot. Will definitely fly Thomson again.

    Family holidays are something I look forward to, lets be honest the flight out is the start of your holiday, so when all goes well its bound to be a good one. Thomson Airways were brilliant, on time, good food and service, comfortable and clean airplane and really nice crew who obviously enjoy the job even when it's silly 'o' cloc. Well done Thomson see you agian next year

    Good flights. Excellent staff. Food hot and good for airline food. Flights on time. Am flying with them again to USA next year with no worries. Would recommend Thomson Fly to anyone.

    This Thomson flight was appalling!! The food was disgusting, the seats were so uncomfortable, some of the cabin crew were nice some were extremely rude. I will never go with this airline again, if I were 2 rate the food from 1-10 - I would give it a 1/4!! The mash wasnt cooked, the fish fingers were extremely soft as if it had been dunked in water!! I felt sick just looking at the food!

    Thomson Airways are among the best when it comes to charter flights.
    We left on time landed on time.
    We had extra leg room seats for only £50 each return and on a 5 and half hour flight they were great.
    Food was lovely outbound we had a salad starter, chicken in tom and basil sauce with mash followed by cheesecake.
    return was pasta salad,sausage and mash and sticky toffee pudding.

    Below I will be writing my trip report from my Thomson Fly flights to Cancun including both sectors of the flight.

    It would seem that each year we fly with Thomson, that the level of service declines on each flight, gone are the days of smart polite aircrew, replaced now with scruffy and miserable individuals.
