“Delayed flight by 24hrs Disgusting Customer Service”

Was due to fly out to Orlando this morning from Glasgow. Arrived to be told flight delayed for 24 hours!! Attitude of staff at Thomsons desk was dreadful - extremely unhelpful and unsympathetic. Have spent the last 6 hours trying desperately to speak to someone in customer services to get some sort of explanation for delay and also advice on compensation but to no avail. Continually put through to call centres in India and Romania and on one occasion diverted to an automated message… Read Full Review

“needs improvement think about making customers...”

travelled with Thomson for years, aeroplane wasn't clean dirty tissues and sweet papers left down back of chair, crumbs on floor. no entertainment no music or tv, travelled for just over 4hrs. from east mids to crete. seats uncomfortable, was asked if wanted extra large seat paid cash but never got the seat. still trying to get money back. will try different company next time. till Thomson as made better changes . asked if there would be any entertainment was told only on long haul flights… Read Full Review

“Thompson Dreamliner prebooked seats - Not available ”

Thompson holiday to Jamaica, had upgraded to premium and pre booked seats. The seats seem to have a lot of room but this is deceptive as especially difficult to get out of the middle one especially when seats in front are tilted. also unusually had a lot of cramps on this flight not something I had experienced on other flights! the journey out was better as we had the seats we had pre-booked. where as on the return we were told the manifest had us in different seats although we had the… Read Full Review

“Dreamliner no thanks”

We were so excited to fly on the dreamliner when we flew back from punta cana but alas , being in premium was dreadful the seat was so uncomfortable ,and gave me pins and needles in my legs i had to get my bag down and put my feet on it to raise them . I was literally trapped in my my seat as the people in front had reclined their seat you cant get out ,i dread to think what would happen if you had to get out quickly . “Finally someone SENSIBLE and SENSITIVE.”

I have been " fighting " with Thomson since June 2013---to get some form of compensation for " extra leg room " seats--resold by the airline, after our sister in law was medically off loaded with her husband--enroute to Egypt, in an Athens divert. Their seats on the return flight were resold, but Thomsons refused to refund the £ 130 the extra leg room had cost--the seats themselves are covered by charter rules , so obviously non --- all I wanted was a " gesture"--like a voucher ,or something… Read Full Review

“Fair Enough”

Flew to Punta Cana and back on Dreamliner, goot seat pitch although seats are a bit narrow. Thomson is now the Ryanair of long haul, apart from one small water and one coffee with your meal all other drinks have to be purchased including water which should be free on a long flight. “First and Last with Thomson”

Flew with Thomson to Mombasa for the first time on Dreamliner. The aisles are too narrow so constant buffeting by stewards, had to pay for coffee and when queried the steward was rude and suggested we fly with another airline next time, the stewards were chatting all night in the galley so no sleep, our cases together with those of 50 other passengers left on plane which had parked elsewhere at Gatwick. “5 HOURS DEALY, NO COMPENSATION & DREADFUL FLIGHT”

Firstly, the flight TOM403 from Antalya 02/11/12 was delayed due to a 'tech issue'. By 3am we got on the plane, and immediately it was apparent how very cold it was. We thought this would improve but it got worse. We gave our children what over coats we could so they would be comfortable, but we were so cold I asked if there were blankets available. I have booked the sit to sit together with my 2 years old daughter and my husband. All sits were booked but I spoke to one of the advisor and they promised me to organise everything. In the end my 2 years old daughter was sitting by herself with strangers. I am pregnant, my daughter all 7 hours was sleeping on my belly because she was afraid to sleep next to the strangers. “No Consideration for elderly booking on line”

My husband and I have booked a holiday with Thompsons on line for his 70th birthday. The flight is due on the 27th feb 2014. flying to Jamaica for 2 weeks, that's right we haven't left yet. “Disappointing and average”

Premium cabin was extremely disappointing. The seats were not very comfortable, I expected a bit more comfort for the price we paid. The tray table was filthy, I had to ask for it to be cleaned. There were sweet wrappers and crumbs in the seat pocket. The crew on the outbound journey were quite attentive but were slow bringing drinks or refills. “xmas eve in Antalya”

Just wish to praise the 2 Thomson ladies for the incredible job sorting out a planeload of tense stranded passengers after Flight tom 347 to Gatwick cancelled on Christmas eve. These girls had a very tough job dealing with all manner of folks, and kids, who were about to miss Christmas in the UK. They got us to a first class hotel, made sure the dining room stayed open, then even organised onward travel(taxis) when we eventually got back on Dec 25th. Luton to Lanzarote and return.After some really poor experiences with Thomson over the years, booked this flight because of convenient times. Flight departed on time, but a couple of flight crew pretty uninterested in passengers. Only had a cup of tea on outbound flight, £2.50 but ok. Return flight started to board nice and early.Aircraft was newer and a tad more comfortable, cabin crew at the rear far more pleasant. “Thomson aircraft, service”

I either fly KLM visit family or Thomson for holidays, however this will be changing, while KLM have plenty of room for their passengers, I feel the Thomson aircraft are more like a cattle market where they reduce the size of the seat distance just to squeeze a extra few seats on - yes I know the more money the airline makes the more happier its investors are, though there has to be a comfort issue where the customer is not feeling trapped in their seat throughout the flight. “Never again with Thomson”

We have given Thomson an awful lot of business over the years and flown 5 times in the last 3 with them, but never again. Our outbound flight to Rhodes in September was a disgrace. We were sold extra leg room seats which the Cabin Manager told us shouldn't have been sold because they were in her workspace, meaning a lot of disturbance for us. 30 minutes into our flight a crew member fell ill and the cabin manager told us this was because she was following a fasting diet! “Poor service and extra charges for the basics”

A very poor experience, none stop sales pressure for the day we booked with phone calls & emails to upgrade fight seats. families were not able to sit together, I gave up my seat so a young family could sit together all caused by a very poor seat planning and a way to make money. “would sooner fly easy jet”

flew to morocco on 19th september felt very cramped we were asked which seats we would like, we had middle and window! Cabin crew were ok, but nothing special. Return flight didn't get a choice of seat, we were at the back in two end seats with the food trolley then the drinks trolly then the duty free trolly bashing my arm and leg every time. “they just get worse and worse”

A follow on from my review of 2nd July 2013.After Peter Long thomson C.E.O. ignored my e-mail, I wrote to him highlighting my disatisfaction with the manner in which my original complaint was responded to. This produced no direct reply from him, but the matter was referred right back to the customer services team, and surprise surprise, the answer came not in writing, but via a phone call.
