Good Points: Quite a funny movie.

Bad Points: Gets a bit frantic at points.

General comments: This is a review of the 2005 re-make of the 1977 Fun with Dick & Jane which stared George Seagal and Jane Fonda.
I haven't seen the original and so can not compare, but I did enjoy the 2005 version. I must admit that I am not a huge Jim Carey fan and when the film first came on my initial reaction was to turn over. However, my other half wanted to watch it and so I persevered.
This is an amusing film based around a married couple named Dick and Jane and their young son. Dick works for a large company (Globodyne) and after 15 years service is promoted to VP of communications, however what he does not realise is that the owners and MD of the company are just using him.
They tell him that his is to be on a money programme to discuss the stocks and shares of the Globodyne but doesn't realise that the owner of the company has in fact sold 80% of his shares and that the company is actually going belly up.
This results in Dick and all the other members of Globodyne losing their jobs, and Dick struggles to find another. To add to that, shortly after his promotion he persuaded his wife to quit her job too and so now, they are penniless and not only have a mortgage to pay, but also a young son to provide for.
This is when they decide that they have had enough of playing by the rules and turn to a life of crime to pay their way!
This movie has a happy ending (for most) and does keep you quite entertained, I recommend it as an 'easy watch' film.
