Good Points: I very recently bought a pair of KEF 3 Loudspeakers on eBay for 21.00 pound (yes, a very paltry amount) and I am simply astounded by the sound quality that comes through it. It's fantastic and I simply love it. I have mine connected to a Marantz CD6000OSE CD Player driven by a Rotel 931 Mk II Stereo Integrated Amplifier and I just love it. My speaker cables are QED Bi-wire Silvery Anniversary XT with Airloc plugs and interconnect are QED Silver Spiral cables. I've had Mordaunt Short speakers before that cost close to £300.00 but to my ears, they are nothing compared to the KEF's, that's how good they are. I would recommend them highly for any system. You will not be disappointed. I am a very happy bunny indeed!

Bad Points: Some may find the treble a wee bit high. I like the detail though. It picks up everything

General comments: Good for any budget system, like mine, for a bargain. What else do you want?

I cannot find a bad thing to say about these speakers; I bought them as many people did from Richer Sounds for the paltry price of £79.99. I got them home and wired them up using "Quality" speaker cables (anything around the 99p a Meter from Richer Sounds mark) I prefer Gale 315 rated cable. They have a balanced pure sound, that is neither bass heavy or bass light. The treble has a direct tonal quality that is both full of stereo field and imagery; I guarantee that if you purchase these fl ...

I bought my pair of KEF Cresta 3's from Richer Sounds as a fair few people seem to have done. I got them in the January sale for £79.99 and I am amazed at the quality of speaker for the price. You could easily get away with saying they cost over £250.

I have them running bi-wired froim my Technics A-Class amp. The speaker cable is Gale thick gauge copper as I have a fair bit of floorspace to cover. As soon as I turned these speakers on, I knew I had made the right choice. The bass ...

I purchased these cresta 3 floorstanders from richer sounds for £110!!! which is pretty damn cheap in my eyes. I heard reviews saying that they lack bass, WHATEVER!?* i am using a NAD c350 amp with a NAD C510 CD player and the bass is fabulous. i have moved them away from the walls as it created punchy bass which felt a little harsh, They have excellent stereo imagery
and feel very natural. Their strong points are vocals, they ooze syphistication and are quite obvious to be a £250 ...

I run these with a NAD306 which is perhaps a bit 'lively' for these speakers. Bi-wiring works well with these but the treble can get tiresome. I went out a bought a NAD C541i which got rid of some of the glassiness and improved the bottom end timing but these speakers may sound better with a more genteel amplifier?

The clarity and transparency of sound from these speakers is simply immense! A real punchy bass and crisp treble. They're bi-wireable too.
The build quality could be better; tacky plastic binding posts. They're not the best looking speakers either (if that's a concern).

I brought these KEF Cresta 3 stereo speakers from Richer Sounds for £119.99 which is pretty damn cheap for a pair of floorstanders! They are really nice to listen to but......you should be careful not to place them too close to a rear wall as you'll get some boomy bass. All in all, great speakers with a great sense of scale and imaging-you should definitely audition them.

Outstanding buy, the Kef Cresta 3 speakers are excellent. you wouldn't be disappointed. Great sound. Best to bi-wire them for crisper sound. Nice solid cabinet it's all put together nicely. Also used floorspikes for sharper sound reproduction.
