Good Points: Network storage shares the information across your network workgroup.
Bad Points: It was slow accessing the data when it was working. The drive stalled for a very long time writing data, got tired of waiting and powered it down. That was a mistake and lost access to the drive and data.
General comments: Maxtor Shared Storage II is a 2TB network storage drive connecting via RJ45 jack through your router as a network drive and not directly to your computer.

I agree with the other review. Easy to use and set up. I have only 2 people accessing it, but it saves so much in time and burning issues to be able to see data in the shared area.
Large HDD so that music, films and backups can be stored.
Comes with software to allow back ups to be created on a diary basis, which, as I never turn the NAS off, can be really useful. In fact, I have used the restore function on this software to return my documents.- Read a1i's review (96 words)

The Maxtor shared area storage network does what it says on the box. It connects to your router (or switch) and is 200GB of networked storage with two USB ports on the back for printers/drives. It has a useful backup utility included, and supports drag 'n' drop, so it sorts all the files for you.
You can add multiple users, so different people can backup/store on it.
It is pretty damn good really, and it looks pretty cool too - silver with a side stand.- Read muffymeister's review (93 words)
