Taste like cheap reject chocolate, i try all of them and most of them i could only eat half a chocolate of each. The only edible ones are the green triangle and the purple one and they arnt even that good. Its funny that them two are called the green triangle and the purple one, and the rest have names like strawberry, orange cream etc... Its like nestle knows themselves that they are the only ok ones. Nestle knows that kids will say to their parents, i want the green triangle or the... (read more)

They have been a part of Christmas in my family for 65 years. One by one the best flavours have been replaced by inferior items . A classic example of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and a piece of cultural vandalism. Another bit Britain's tradition gone forever. Maybe the Chinese will spot a glaring gap in the market and come up with something more like the old product. Our complacent car industry paid the awful price of believing it could treat its customers as a captive market. Over time... (read more)

Cheap and nasty taste!! I've been buying Quality Street for 25 years. Family and friends bought me my usual 4 or 5 tins at Christmas and they got binned. Even the smell when you open the tin is dreadful. I assume they have ruined them to save money in order to sell them to the (lets ruin everything that good for profits) supermarkets. I hope Nestly pay the price in the long run. Greed wins over everything else again. (read more)

Had a tin of roses but got a box of Quality Street because I miss the toffees! The toffees were barely edible - though the best things in the tin! My old favourite, the purple one, just had an incredibly nasty, oversweet, chemical tasta that was pure disgusting (the Roses purple one is still good, though not as good as they were). Tried one of most other things and the soft ones in particular had the same oversweet, chemical, cheap taste. I accept there has been a fight to the bottom... (read more)

Just rang Nestle to complain as I have just opened my family tin of Quality street sweets for christmas. Quality they are not! They are half the size, thin coating of chocolate not much sweet inside chocolate taste weird. Customer service girl focused they have only altered the size of the tin. Not true they have shrank! I will not buy any more. (read more)

They appeared much smaller sweets than previous. They now taste cheap and nasty. I don't know if they are produced especially for supermarkets, but they are terrible. They are that bad that my wife and I only had 4 or five and we dumped them in the dustbin. This is how bad they are. We purchased 4x1Kg tins, 3 for gifts to our local GP. chemist and hospital as we do every year. However, the 3 remaining tins followed the first tin, wouldn't want to offend people. They used to be our favourite... (read more)

This is the second tin of quality streets I have bought recently I was so disappointed at the range of choice in the tin 5 green triangles and 6 soft caramel cups in all those chocolates, very poor choice mainly ones that are always left won't waste my money on them again. On the good side I loved the 5 green triangles and 6 caramel cups. (read more)

Nestle Quality Street has always been a bit of a Christmas time ritual for me. However, I think this year we're going to look at the some of the alternatives as I've been quite dissapointed with Quality Streets of late. The taste of the soft filled ones is very, very artificial. I dont think the technology in making these sweets has changed in about 30 years - with the competition (such as Celebrations) really improving the taste of what you can get. The price is good - and we got a deal... (read more)

Anything Nestle takes over is a goof up - whether it is Kitkat, blackmagic or my eternal favourite-quality street. I dislike the new nestle wrapping with nestle written all over it (so commercial of them) and as far as the taste is concerned- i cant tell the difference between a quality street chocolate or toffee/chocolate made by any other brand. The only t nestle product I still patronise is their natural yogurt.. Why move away from traditional chocolate making????whatever happened to... (read more)

Nestle Quality Street have a good chocolate selection. There's an abundance of (what I would class as) 'low-quality' chocolates with barely any of the creams, toffees or caramels. I hunted for an orange cream (my favorite) and found only one in the tin, yet there were 19 of the coconut ones that no-one in my family likes. Also in plentiful supply were the orange crunch and the malt toffee ones. Quality Street has been a Christmas favorite of mine for years, but I will be turning to another... (read more)

Over Christmas most of the bigger Supermarkets had deals on the tins of this chocolate. 2 for £10 was a popular price.
I have bought Quality Street every Christmas for 20 years. This year, however, we noticed that a lot of our favourites were in short supply, whilst there was an over-supply of others. We counted 22 coconut eclairs, 21 malt toffees and some others reached double figures...nutty choc chunk, the green triangle, orange chocolate crunch (at least 10 of each). Old favourites...

I think this attitude is indicative of the main players in the chocolate trade today, give us what we want or we will go elsewhere. I have had similar difficulties with Celebrations, and have now switched over to Heroes for the time being. I will never buy Roses again as they are horrible, but I have found Ferrero Rocher to be at their delicious best this year.

With a great selection of all different kinds of sweets, everyone's bound to find one they like, and everyone always has a favourite (the purple one)!!
Quality Street is a great selection box which never fails! It's great for a girly night in or a family film, or as an nice alternative for biscuits on your coffee break!

I agree, just bought a tin and its smaller...and sweets are poor, there was a time when the tins were bigger and chocolates nicer and wrapped better, never buying again.
