Long time to warm up terrible grip when cold or damp conditions definately contributed to low side on my zzr1400 whilst only riding at 20 mph. Unstable on poor or gritty tarmac and wear very quickly would not recommend these tyres to my worst enemy should never be allowed to fit on heavy sports tourer.

Once warm handling 7/10. Do 140 miles a day, 7 days. Half dual carriageway, half fast Aroad. Travel very fast using full width of tires, on zx7r . Centre of rear tire is on marks n edge of tread torn. Wouldn't have more, performance nowhere near worth the rate of wear

I've worn out the rear tyre on my ZRX1200S in about 1000 miles. Down to the markers in the middle inch and a half. The rest of the tyre is like new. No complaints about grip or ride but I won't buy another one.

Not sure what I am doing different to other posters. I bought my bike with used BT014s (must have had about 1000km on em)and have racked up 5000km in 1.5 months and all weather riding. I have not had any issues with wear, temperature or riding in the wet.

THE WORST TIRE I HAVE EVER OWNED

The tyre that wrote off my r1 lol!
Very good tyre for some serious road rage in the summer, as people have mentioned when warm there amazing! Not the easiest tyre to bing upto temperature but once there they do hold it well.
Not recommended for the wet and a death-wish in the cold. I got mine to ware to the markers in just over 1000 miles :-(
Fun while they last

ok, not great. poor grip when cold and not great in the wet. running them on a daytona 955 witch doesnt make record power and even when playing it safe in the wet they can slide a bit, wear rate for the rear is bad, less the 2.5k witch simply isnt good. on the plus side when warm in the dry they are good, great feel and never feel as if you are running short on grip. wont fit again as i do alot of motorway miles and live in the uk so its always a bit damp. if you ride simply on good daysfor fun then there a good chioce but for evreyday riding they are not up to the job. may well fair better on less powerfull bikes.

Bridgestone Battlax is an excellent tyre..just can't fault it!!
great handling in and out of corners, warm up very quickly too!!
Only one thing..they don't last very long which is a shame ;0(

The Bridgestone Battlax BT014 tyre is wide and very stable. this tyre heats up very quickly to give security on the road very good in the wet

Very grippy tyre. I guess thats just the price you pay...but will have to last longer for me to warrant them again, 2500 miles would have been acceptable. If you buy them run about 2 lbs under recomemded pressres for better wear with no minus handling effects. I'm going to tyre BT021 next time for slightly better mileage Let you know how I get on!

Very happy with the Bridgestone 014's exellent grip right to the edge only downside being rears dont seem to last 5 minutes possibly down to the torque of my vtr 1000 eating them up.

These tyres are OEM as fitted to my 2006 ZX6R, done 4 trackdays on them and performed well, losing grip with them now because they've been heat cycled quite a bit. Nearly washed out and binned it track riding in the wet with these tyres. If you're going to be making a habit of regular balls-out street riding or trackdays, consider a stickier tyre.

Good stability, nice and sticky, good contact when cornering. Good improvement over the bt012.

These Bridgestone tyres came as OE equipment on my GSXR 750 K7. I ve run Bridgestone Bt 010s on a ZX6R and the 010s were great. The 014 s though are very much a different story.
I found that the tyres took a look time to warm up and even after a spirited run found they were only lukewarm. This could have contributed to a low side spill whilst only travelling at about 20mph (on a dry road!) I felt the rear straight away and there wasn t that much heat there at all.
The other main problem I have found is the tyre can be very vague when travelling over road surfaces that are less than perfect. You constantly feel as if the front tyre is going to break away from you.
Overall, I have to say I m disappointed.
For my style of riding (fast road and occasional track) the best tyre I ve used so far is the Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa. A truly awesome tyre!
The next set of tyres I ve ordered is the Michelin Pilot Power 2CTS. At the moment Watling Tyres (just type Watling Tyres into Google and they ll come straight up) are offering a pair of them in 120/70 and 180/55 17 s for 174 quid delivered. Not bad at all!!
Good luck and may I wish you a happy, safe and trouble free biking summer.

Used a set at Nurburgring, Spa (Wet track), Rockingham and Donnigton Park. GSXR1000 K3 (+Road miles). Not bad. Perfect except Donnington where when cold (Oc) low sided on lap 4.
Ring times of 9:02. per lap
Would buy again. Lots of confidence and warm up reasonably fast.

I get on well and haven't changed for three years,if only they where cheaper so I didn't run them into slicks!!

The Bridgestone BT-014 is a middle of the road tyre not a patch on Pirelli Diablo
Click here to buy Car & Motorbike Accessories on Amaonwritten by bigfootpete on 21/01/2006
The Bridgestone BT-014 tyres are better than the 010's but only just - the grip is pretty good but I don't trust them as much as Pirelli Diablos, and on rough surfaces they are slippery. During hard breaking the front is very vague and I have locked up a couple of times. They seem to last ok though - 4k. Profile is good and they encourage quick turning, and hold the line well, changing direction mid-turn is not a problem.
