A fantastic guitar. Seriously. The build is just awesome, it's nice and shiny, it's easy to get to the higher frets and the appearance is just fantastic.
Granted, the sound is a bit dark. It's a real rhythm guitar (also James Hetfield (Metallica) was one of the reasons I bought this guitar). I'm very very happy to own one and I never regretted it. I've loved this guitar every since.
Though the pickups and the bridge tend to oxidate a bit(I dunno if that's the right word for) and it easily...

First off, whole thing is "finishing" of that guitar, very top level, hardly spotted on the others companys stuff/even in that level of £
Neck amazing, fast playing just sliding!
Body...well you choose that shape :) rockin!
Sound and sustain: I am not overreacting, eventually you'll be able to play it for all kind of music, I am now playing in jazz band, and my mates still thinking i get hammered before i bought that ;) but when they hear it's sound, they dont mind! Neck, needs to be...

This guitar rocks! I've owned Gibson's but now have the Epi Explorer, Firebird Vii and LP standard, all for the price of 1 Gibson. They are all quality guitars. If you need that Gibson logo on to be happy, it's your $ dude! (read more)

Epiphone Explorer has an amazing action, the neck is so smooth and thin, real shredder, easy to get to the top frets, looks amazing. Best guitar I have ever owned and maybe played. I recommend one!!!! HIGHLY!!! they play amazingly and it looks nice!!! A bit heavy because of the thickness, but still not too heavy, that's about it. BUT like every guitar you should TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. (read more)

Epiphone Explorer is a great guitar so I give it an overall rating of 8. It feels great to play after having a baby squier strat for a year. It has a really rich sound and you can use it for any kind of music. I usually use the selector switch to turn the guitar down because when you have volume one turned right down and push the selector switch up you're done. I'm very choosy about the sound I get from a guitar so thats another reason why I like it, and it goes well with your marshall mg... (read more)

The Epiphone Explorer is a very good guitar. For those who cant afford the Gibson, I suggest this. Its a decent guitar for anybody intermediate or expert. Beginners, stick with your strats and Lego (joke), no seriously; this guitar is perfect for any level. Personally, I would not consider this a first guitar. So if your looking to buy, just close the page and go to starter kits. (read more)

I love my Epiphone Explorer it really is a amazing guitar. No matter what type of music you play, rock, blues, metal and ......pop. If you want a piece of rock guitar history this is the guitar for you. Why choose a Explorer over a LP or Strat? Well a Les Paul is fat and chunky and is hard to get to the top of the fret board. A Strat is expensive and the Squire verson is rubbish. 100% recommended:) (read more)

If you consider the so-called modernistic guitars such as the Flying V, Explorer, and some years later, the Firebird, you must say the Explorer seems to be the most extravagant design of that time.
Although designed in the late 50's, the Explorer can be seen as one of the most distinctive axes for Rock; even today.
The mahogany neck is wide and provides good sustain and a full tone. Although this guitar has a mahogany body, its weight is only 3,79 kg.
I got it in a special deal with a...
