I'm not a real sweet tooth as I don't like the taste of milk chocolate and bit too sweet. However I do love maltesers and find I cant taste as much of the 'milk' element if I leave them in the fridge. You've done white choc the nxt step should naturally be Dark chocolate maltesers. plz do a trial run of this product...you'll be surprised how well they sell:-) (read more)

Maltesers speak for themselves oozing delight in every bite,so listen review team we all love em but it sure would be nice to try them in dark chocolate as its a favoutite of many ,see what you can do.cant fault Maltesers in any way love them so light and crisp a credit to all in the manufactor of them, but choice would be a nice thing and im sure dark chocolate would enhance the sales and give them the lift you crave for through your advertising. Maltesers are one of my favourite chocolates. The combination of creamy, milk chocolate and crunchy, sweet honeycomb centre works really well and they are very moreish. I do find them a little sickly towards the bottom of the bag though and definately couldn't eat more that one standard bag.
You can also bite your Maltesers in half. This way the honeycomb is a little more crunchy because you are biting straight into it and it hasn't been softened in your mouth. A nice method if you like the...

I love maltesers, but sometimes the malt bubbly part in the middle is too hard or too soft making the taste a bit different.
All round though, the small chocolate covered balls are delicious, light and they fill your chocolate cravings without all the calories!
Great little treat :)

They are really addictive, I used to eat over a large bag a week! They have a honeycomb center with chocolate around the outside, delicious. Maltesers are great if you don't mind the hydrogenated fats but for those who understand the damage these fats do avoid Maltesers and other products with honeycomb, check first. (read more)

I can't live without my Maltesers. Everyone knows what to buy me for Birthdays, Christmas and Mothers Day, but my youngest son said to me "Mum, I wish I could get a 10lb box for you, then perhaps there will be enough to share". I said "ohhhh, that would be my dream"!! Just to see all those Maltesers sitting in a box; it would be heaven! They always put a smile on my face...So thank you to Mars for making Maltesers. I agree...when are Mars going to make dark chocolate Maltesers?
Dark chocolate is so much better for you, and I find that I don't need to eat as much. This would resolve the problem of one bag of tesers not being enough.
I am sure that if they were covered in DARK chocolate it would be.

Mars - please make them....you did them in white, so why not?

Lighter than ordinary chocolate Mars Maltesers are the epitomy of perfection. You dont have to worry about calories as the light honeycomb centre takes care of this and as for taste sensations the malteser turns out at every occasion. It can be crunched and sucked equally well and with its unique blend of textures even top breeders would recommend it. (read more)

"These little chocolate balls of honeycomb have been around since 1936"

kalamazoo....I simply have to congratulate you on your lovely review - it was a joy to read. I wonder if you ever worked in an office because a firm I once worked for had a Kalamazoo filing system.

I clearly remember my introduction to Maltesers. It was in 1939 - I was 6 years old and on an extended school break as war had just broken out. I had been given a silver threepenny bit (a fortune for me then) and spent it on a bag of Maltesers in the village shop.

Nothing like 'em - absolutely unique!

Hi from Canada. I remember when Maltesers were called maltese over here. I assume they are the same candy as the taste is the same.

We also get a Whopper ball as well. They can't copmare to the Malteser.

Back in the 70's, the Maltese came in a little blue box with a celophane type window down the side of the box. Anyone remember that? Was it a North American Confection only?

I would love to know more info on this delicious little ball!!

Hi to you Dgatehouse.
