    Good Points: Reasonably fast, while it lasted.


    Bad Points: It failed after only 18 months.


    General comments: The Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 200GB hard drive is the third Maxtor hard drive that has failed on me! It started with random "clack clack" noises after only a year's use, but then progressed to lengthy lockups, eventually forcing Windows XP to show the Blue Screen of Death. All connectors have been checked and rechecked, but yet again it is the Maxtor drive that is at fault.
