    Positive
    + cheap
    + can refill cartridges, makes it even cheaper
    + when photo paper is used stunning outcome
    + Photo printing SW included valuable
    + text b/w printouts in good quality (b/w laser still better)
    + Text print speed is ok
    + Includes a flash card bay (CF, SD/MM and others) for direct print
    + USB-Port for camera direct print connection (not used by me yet)
    + small LCD color display for preview
    + still perfectly works after weeks of being not used.

    Negative
    - low speed in HiQ photo print mode (corresponds with hi quality)
    - takes a long time until its ready to print once started
    - original cartridge price far too expensive. Better use alternative products or refill by yourself (dirty job)

    This Epson Stylus Photo R245 printer does an excellent job for me as an occasional photo printing person.

    I bought the Epson R245 digital photo printer for my father so that he could use it for stand alone printing straight from his camera card. Luckily I bought the USB cable to go with it, as he has thrown out his old printer and is using the R245 for general printing as well as for photo's.
    In comparison to a normal printer the colour is sharp and true, but the time it takes to print a photo is a bit frustrating.
