Good Points: Easy start-up, and it gets to the correct temperature quickly. Extremely quiet operation. Class "A" energy performance. Good Value for money.
Bad Points: Minor point - Drawers can collect ice from time to time, as they're solid.
General comments: It was like treading through a mine field trying to find a decent freezer with "A" energy rating for about £150 with so many to choose from.
But after trawling the net for hours, I decided to get the Whirlpool AFB 6530 under counter freezer, and it's very good!
It does exactly what it should do. Lots of space, extremely quiet operation, and I have never had any problems. It seems sturdy, well built, and it looks quite nice too! Plus I know I'm saving energy/money because of it's "A" rating.
There are other "A" rated cheap freezers out there. but I checked the Kwh (Kilo watt hours) it uses, and these can vary quite a bit, even for "A" class. This one does a remarkable 197Kwh, while others I found go way above for the same class!! So get checking...
