I got this DVD when it first came out the first time I used it properly I went from a size 14 to a 12 in a few weeks. I was (loosely) eating a bit better but still had a few treats. I find it really easy to follow and it's fun. The sections and sets are short and varied so you push yourself but then she takes it down to a steadier pace. Great all over body workout. Trainer Dee Thresher's energy and sense of fun is contagious while she takes you and Charlie through 5 ten minute workouts. This is suitable for beginners as the steps are easy to follow and most of it is low impact but with enough moves to raise your heart rate. Dee's instructions are clear, she cues the next move well, matches left and rights with you and has a bit of fun. It is not really dancey, but rather aerobic moves with a bit of funky fun. I received the Charlie brooks, before and after dvd today and used it straight away!!! Its great, a real workout!!! I am not fit at all :) but I managed to do the dvd (I did slow it down at some points like the instructor suggested) i can really feel that I have done it which I think is great!!! :) and Im not dreading doing it again, so that is a bonus! My co-ordination isnt cracking, so did struggle with some moves, especially the disco steps, however it was only my first try! Will do this... (read more)

Great work out!!! Love every min of it gets the heart going i love all the dvds Dee Threasure has done though think shes a great personal trainer workes every bit of the body, I combine a few of her dvds to get a really good results. Absolutly amazing! i'm 19 and before i started this dvd i was 15.5 stone and hadn't been any smaller than a size 34 since i was 12. now i am 12.8 stone and a size 32. i'v been doing this dvd since beginning of july and i havn't really changed my eating habbits but the results are definatly noticable! the steps are easy to folow although some are confusing, after the 2nd - 3rd run i was able to do it and now it's almost like second nature to me. the music could have been a bit better but i... I read the reviews on this site and decided to get this DVD. There are 5 sections that all feel like they are working every part of your body, no area escapes! I have been doing this for 2 weeks, 3 times a week and with healthy eating I have lost 9lb. I feel energised after every workout and can see results already! I found this dvd hard to follow as the steps not explained and is far to fast for complete beginners like myself. i have no coordination and therefore was hard to keep up and gave up before the warm up had ended i dont think this dvd is for overweight people like myself new to exercising. i was dissappionted with the dvd and myself and would have liked a difficulty rating attached to it. This dvd is excellent! im quite bad with co-ordination in general but after about 3 goes i got it. Its quite easy to follow and the moves are not as repetitive as in the natalie cassidy's then and now workout. Ive only been doing the dvd for 2 weeks, but am determined to keep it up... i actually enjoy doing and sometimes find myself doin it twice in one day. its very motivating and seeing how good charlie looked after keeps me going! i would say im about the same size as she was before... absolutly brilliant!! i started to get quite big at the age of 15 because i was taking so many tablets and using steroid creams for my eczema. but all my fat wasnt just to do with the tablets...it was also my eating habits..i tried all sorts of dvds..pump it up dvd..jade goodys dance workout..nell mcandrews..hot pants workout...latina size..and loads more..i was just soo depressed of my weight and wanted to do something about it...i suffer with migranes and all these workouts were too hard... I bought this DVD when it first came out. I have used it on and off since then and seen results. I have never sustained for a long period of time though.
I have just signed up to weight watchers on-line last week and started the DVD this week.
My start weight Mon 5th Oct 2009 was 10st 8lbs.
My weight this Monday was 10st 4lbs. It will be interesting to see weight loss with DVD and weight watchers. I will keep you posted.

the diet at the end of this Charlie Brooks, Before and After Workout dvd is fantastic, no working out if i'm allowed to eat this or that, you just follow a menu, brilliant if you'rte not good at counting points or calories!!
since may i have lost 2 stone and its still fallinf off!!!

Hmmm well I tried the Charlie Brooks, Before and After Workout last night and was disapointed :( looks like a realy good workout but if you have no co-ordination its not for you, So I'm going to stick with my Jordan workout which is realy great, i just fancied a change! (read more)

before having my daughter last year i lost almost 5 stone using this charlie brooks dvd along with a calorie control diet, but unfortunately put alot back on again when pregnant. i have restarted my diet again and have lost 1 and half stone in about 8 weeks. its a great dvd. charlie and dee (the trainer) seem to be good friends and make you feel good about working out. i find it hard to fit the full dvd into my busy life as a new mum so manage 30 mins everyday when my little one naps, but... Obviously I eat the correct foods but also done the video and now I try to do it at least 3 times a week sometimes I do it everyday or sometimes I do it 5 times a week, but if your thinking about buying it I would! I have been using the Charlie Brooks, Before and After Workout dvd for a couple of years now and I think it is excellent. It is the only one I have stuck with and it provides an excellent workout, not allowing any part of your body to escape. Once done a few times, the steps are very easy to pick up and can even be done to your own music.
The part which shows Charlie before her dramatic change is rather inspiring and motivated me to get fit!
The food plan is also useful with some good...

I usually get bored with exerise and DVDs because they're just continuous and patronising. But Before and After Workout has short sections so you don't get bored, they're over so quickly! You feel great afterwards and the toning doesn't make your stomach too muscly, just feminine :) (read more)

I found Charlie Brooks, Before and After Workout in a charity shop for £1.99, what a bargain and so far it has been great! (The sound of loosing weight on 2 quid is fab! Beats any gym! Charlie Brooks, Before and After Workout is an excellent dvd which I would really recommend, it does what it says it will if you put the effort in. Charlie is so normal that you don't feel intimidated or defeated before you even start. These results are really attainable if you commit too. (read more)

I went on a diet last January and bought this dvd to help me along with my rowing machine. I did it 3 times a week and over 3 months I went from a size 16 to a size 12. Originally I weighed 12st 7lb, and got down to 10 st 6lb. Unfortunately I took my new size for granted and got back up to 11 st 6lb, so I've started doing this dvd again, thankfully because I can trust it, I know by the summer I'll be a slimmer me again. When i do the workout , i feel amazing after. It leaves me bouncing up and down with all the energy, its such a great feeling.
The results are great, it keeps me completely toned! It would have been even better if they had a variety of 3 workouts worth 50 minutes each so you can change between them , to keep you keen, but its still amazing.

The Charlie Brooks Before & After DVD is a great workout - I've been doing it about 2/3 times a week for a couple of months now and have lost quite a few inches from my waist, hips & thighs and my stomach is getting toned (the pilates section is great for the stomach). I know all the moves now so I put it on mute and put on my own music which I find better as the music on the DVD can get repitative after a while! I have been doing the Charlie Brooks Before And After Workout since Jan 2006 and I ended up losing just over 2 stone in 9 months! I am still doing the work-out now but do 20 minutes a day by choosing different chapters - Pilates being my last one because it helps to keep me toned and trim & I do feel really good after I've done it. I really love this DVD and like Charlie I had the post baby belly. I was 8st3 before I was pregnant and went up to 10st6. I set myself a target of 9st and after doing this DVD and eating a healthy range of food I've gone down to 8st9 and I am so pleased. Definitely go out and get this DVD. I have been using this DVD about 3 times a week for 3 weeks. I have lost 2 inches off my bust,under bust and waist and half an inch off each thigh and that was over Christmas!!! The Charlie Brooks workout DVD is really good, as you actually get to see the results through her and by doing the same, you get great results yourself.
The diet plan is great because it's all interesting food and there is a lot of choice. It's a hard workout but it's so worth it.

I tried the Charlie Brooks, Before and After Workout exercise DVD for the first time yesterday, and I really enjoyed it. It was hard work in parts, but I felt really good doing it. This morning I ache in just the right way, and I can feel that it has worked, but I am not hurting so I will be doing it again tonight.
