    Good Points: Metal construction.
    Realistic feel.
    Inexpensive.

Bad Points: Accuracy is kinda lame.

General comments: I second starlings review.
I just don't get people who spend, what, a whoppin $30 on an air gun and then complain that it doesn't perform with great power and accuracy.
Why do you think RWS, Diana, Walther, etc are in business.
Like the Red Ryder (which also takes a lot of hits for its inaccuracy/power) this is a very inexpensive starting point.
No, it doesn't perform anything like my Walther. But my 7 year old love it. It is teaching him respect for firearms and he has a blast with it, easily popping of pop cans at 15 feet...WHICH IS WHAT THIS GUN IS MEANT FOR.
Again, echoing starlings review...no where else for $30 (in Canada) are you going to get an all metal, realistic air pistol to teach a child how to handle firearms.
For its intended audience it can't be beat.

If anyone can give me a company phone number or address I would appreciate it very much.
As I stated earlier I did not receive a manual in the box. I have no way of knowing which spring goes. Basically this product is a piece of junk.

I recieved this gun about 7 years ago from Wal Mart. I havent used it until 3 days ago when I found it in my closet. This gun is a some what descent for what it can shoot (pellets, darts, bolts, and bbs). I bought a $7 pistol harness for my belt, and the gun fits perfectly in it. For now on I just hook it on to my belt, and put in 18 bbs in the chamber so when I go squirrel hunting, I can use it on the nests, and also on pest birds like sparrows from close range (5 yards). This gun cant go any f ...

Lets make one thing clear. in Canada, this is a $40 dollar air pistol. in the USA, its a $20 air pistol. Please, keep these price figures in mind. What can you buy, that shoots projectiles, at that price? All that comes to mind is the cheapest, of the cheapest, of the CHEAPEST airsoft pistols. all plastic. You are getting a nearly full metal pistol here, and regardless of how poor the quality is, metal is tougher than plastic. Period. Remember this, as you read through other's reviews.

I got one 1010 when I was young, it was the most powerful gun I ever had. I go around places with it and even had it in my bed at night. It had worn out after a few years.

I had the 1010 on my mind all the time, I finally bought one again few years ago. You guys are very lucky to get it at a low price (USD10-20). Mine cost me over USD40.00 in Hong Kong. The Daisy Timberwolf was my worse decision to buy (at USD88), and the 1010 were my second worse decision on air gun history!

    Just wonder, ...

This was my first air pistol. Firstly it was very cheap when new, and was all metal construction, so I was very impressed when I first got it. I only ever fired copper/steel BBs through it. It has a magazine for the BBs built into the barrel so it could be recocked and fired very quickly. I mostly used it to shoot at targets, it seemed to be ok accuracy wise, but that would only be 5 meters, or maximum of 10 shooting at targets stuck on to shoeboxes. I did get myself into trouble with it, as I d ...

Got it for my B-day and it was the worst present I ever received. I've got a chronograph and with pellets and it only went 84 FPS
Fell to earth after about 15 feet BB's only go 115 FPS. First impression was, ''why am I even bothering to waste my time shooting this rubbish.''300% not recommended.

Had one of the Mark 1010 years ago and had the recent misfortune of shooting a "newer" version.

Thought maybe 20 years or so would have improved the product. Unfortunately, it's the same old jazz, just another day.

The gun itself is made out of painted pot metal. Dig hard enough with a thumb nail and you'll remove the paint.

Loading is easy enough and so is cocking, but firing is something of a trick. Aim all you like, you will not hit the same place on your target twice.

    Velocity ...

I bought this Marksman 1010 pistol on a whim at a Wal-Mart for about $10.95. It has a 2 1/2" smoothbore barrel enabling it to use BBs, pellets or darts. Muzzle velocity is listed at 200fps but I don't think it reaches much past 150fps. You can see the projectile head downrange. I don't know if they still market an "improved" model called the Marksman Special Edition 1015. It had or has a 3 1/4 inch rifled barrel and is listed at 230 fps. I think if they had increased the power to about 350 ...

I don't know if it's the 2" barrel or poor machining, but if a gun can't reliably hit a soda can at 15 feet - what good is it?

I'm not even gonna talk about power - after all, the Marksman 1010 is a cheap, spring-air pistol that's not terribly hard to cock - but accuracy is beyond pathetic. Groupings at 20 feet are measured in feet, not inches... I don't think ANY of my Airsoft guns (including plastic-barrelled, sub $5.00 Chinese garbage) shoot this badly.

Accuracy is even worse than my D ...
