Good Points: Straight talking salesman Good after sales service Ball pen for kids to play in
Bad Points: Workshop seems busy - may be difficult to get a slot at short notice
General comments: We needed a new car quick and wanted to know the real price of car without spending a lot of time haggling.
Barnetts gave us a good price straight away then called us back the next day with a lower offer, albeit because their sale was going to start within two weeks. Still, we did need a car quickly and probably wouldn't have known anything about the sale had they not told us.
Another more local Volvo dealer would have got the business if they hadn't wanted to play games with price. As it was Barnetts gave us a far better car for far less money.
After sales service is impressive. The day after buying car we noticed a very slight odd note of the engine at high revs. Salesman told us just to bring it back and they'd sort it. Turns out the problem was an obscure resonance on the exhaust above a certain no of revs. Technician diagnosed problem immmediately and fixed within 30 mins. Meanwhile toddler amused herself, and us, in the ballpit in the adjacent Mazda franchise.
