Stowells Merlot has a sudden burst of fruit - plums, cherries, cranberries with an oak and woody aftertaste, very similar characteristics to Pinotage. Reminds me of being out in the woods on a hot summers day. It went very well with the pork crackling joint at dinner. (read more)
