    Good Points: Fruitiness, reminds you of summer. Great blend of flavours, very surprising for a cheap red.

    Bad Points: Coats the mouth straight away, can feel like you have just eaten a full bunch of grapes.

    General comments: Stowells Merlot has a sudden burst of fruit - plums, cherries, cranberries with an oak and woody aftertaste, very similar characteristics to Pinotage. Reminds me of being out in the woods on a hot summers day. It went very well with the pork crackling joint at dinner.
