I ordered a stainless steel LG fridge freezer online on 5 May 2009. This was done after spending hours surfing various sites and trying to find something to meet my required specification. Although I needed it immediately the only delivery dates available were for weekdays and I needed it to be delivered on a date when the house would be occupied. The only Saturday available was 6 June 2009. A month is a long time to wait for a fridge, but I decided that I had no choice.

    On 3 June at 6.55am, ...

I had the same experience as many people here. I ordered a cooker, a hob and a cooker hood from Sainsbury's Kitchen Appliances. Sainsbury's took the money immediately then called just before the delivery date to say there was a delay. Then called again before the second due delivery date, as all the items were still not in stock. This was despite the items appearing on the website with Rapid Delivery tags. They blamed the manufacturer, even though at no point during the purchase process does the ...

I have been reading the negative reviews on this site and its like Deja vu! Sainsbury Kitchen Appliances Online took my money as soon as I ordered, was promised delivery within 1 week. 2 days before the delivery I was called to say there was a delay and new delivery date was set for 2 weeks time (despite website still stating express delivery was available). This happened 2 more times and a month and a half on we still had no washing machine. So biting the bullet we decided to change washing ...

Sainsbury Kitchen Appliances Online took my money then failed to produce the goods, despite saying they wouldn't take payment until delivery confirmed - over two months and no cooker!

I was given three different delivery dates, then things fell silent with no hope of ever getting the goods it would seem... Constant follow up calls never produced results, had to repeat same story many times each time I called them, then they would cut me off without any explanation. Three days off work wasted. ...

Sainsbury Kitchen Appliances Online took order for fridge/freezer they did not hold in stock and then 'confirmed' a delivery date. 2 days before delivery they stated they had no stock from manufacturer and gave a second date. Now, 2 days before then, they have phoned to say they still have not had a delivery from manufacturer and have given a third date. There was no mention at the time of the original order that there were stock problems i.e. they had none in stock!

If I had seen the other ratings I would not have gone Sainsburys but they were the cheapest, including delivery, and offered the quickest delivery (and remaova; of old appliance). Ordered on-line Sunday, got a phone call on Tuesday saying will deliver between 1 and 3PM -- arrived 2pm, goods were unwrapped, and fitted and the old one removed totally hassle free. My experience was near perfect - so would use again, and would be happy to recommend to others, based on this experience.

Was left to unpack the machine myself after the delivery men just left - I'm pregnant and under orders not to do heavy lifting so had to get my husband to come home from work to do it - not what I had paid for and definitely not what I was lead to believe from the delivery information I was sent by Sainsbury's.

They took payment as soon as I placed the order but took them 15 days to tell me the product wasn't available and that it would take another week to refund me.The company is operated by DRL Limited, but I assumed it was reputable as it was operating under the Sainsbury's brand. There are similar outfits operated by DRL with fronts of Boots, MFI, Appliance Deals, Appliances Online and probably others.

We ordered a washing machine and were promised a delivery date, Late on the day Sainsburys informed us it was damaged at the delivery depot and arranged another delivery day.
On that day at 16:45 hrs we phoned the so called Customer Service Line, only to be told the new washing machine was not loaded onto the wagon, when asked when they intended to tell us this little snippet - silence. Since then, we have made numerous calls but still no machine - they have even told us we would have to pay the ...

I wish I had read your review page before placing my order with DRL Limited, my decision was influenced by the Sainsbury's name and the fact that the product I required was offered with 'rapid' delivery.
Order was placed, paid and confirmed online, 'rapid' delivery date was confirmed by 2 emails at 07.03 the next morning. I then received a phone call from customer services wanting to process my order and offering me a different delivery date.
I was told my 'slot' had gone because they had not p ...

After placing the order with Sainsbury's Kitchen Appliances Online, I came across the Review Centre and started to get very worried by the negative reviews that had been posted. All I can say is that this purchase has so far gone without a hitch. It is too early to review the Hotpoint WT540/1P, but first impressions are good.

We ordered a washing machine and tumble drier and soon found out that the service promised is not as forthcoming as we thought it would be. Website promises that goods are unpacked and visually inspected by delivery crew, this didn't happen! My wife signed for it upon delivery. When I came home, I discovered damage. Contact SKA and they checked the notes from the drivers. Basically because my wife signed for it, we accepted the goods in that condition. Not happy at all.

I cannot begin to express the apalling (lack of) service that I have experienced with Sainsbury's appliances online. I placed my order for a Hotpoint washer/dryer eight days ago. At the time of placing the order I was told the item was 'in stock' and that it would be delivered on 03.07.08. The evening of 02.07.08 I was telephoned by Sainsbury's to say that they were very sorry they would not be able to deliver my washer/dryer the following day as they could not find the item in the warehouse to ...

In March 08 I ordered a cooker from Sainsbury kitchen appliances online. The web site said that it was in stock so i parted with my £400. 3 days later I was called by Sainsbury's to be told that the cooker was not in stock and that it would be within 2 weeks. After 3 weeks of no contact I telephoned Sainsbury's to see what the problem and delay was. I was told that someone would call me back within 24 hours with a delivery date (call back 1).
This did not happen so I called again and got ...

I purchased a Hotpoint washing machine from them about a year ago. It was faulty on delivery. I called and asked what to do and was told a new machine would take at least another week to deliver and they'd taken the old machine way as part of the "service". My daughter is disabled and used to have a lot of 'accidents' at night. I asked them to just pick up the machine and refund the money and I went to my local supplier instead. About two weeks later they still hadn't picked up the machine ...

Why when Sainsbury Kitchen Appliances say online it's in stock, is it not in stock? Why can't the customer service advisor have any empathy when I am a mum of 3 and have no washing machine - I found he was just rude to me. They didn't even offer an alternative and said I could cancel or go elsewhere, or just wait 4 weeks without a washer!

Bought a larder fridge from them, but I accidentally bought the standard version instead of the larder version, rang them up and they charged me £50 ( courier charge). I hadn't even opened the product.
    Terrible!

Ordered freezer over the internet, showing in stock, they took my money, gave me a delivery day of the following Tuesday. Two days layer they rang to say that it was not in stock, but promised me that it would be delivered on Thursday or Friday of same week and they would ring me Wednesday with delivery times. As you might guess no call came, so I rang them to be told that it would not be stock for another week and they could not deliver it for at least 10 days. I said I wanted to cancel and h ...

    Wincanton do their deliveries.
    Nightmare.
The first delivery didn't turn up, second delivery due after 8am. I got a phone call at 6.30am to say they were outside and I either let them in then or they would leave with the goods! As the delivery address was an hour away, that wasn't possible.
The call centre has no control over the drivers but managed to get them back later that day. The driver was really abusive and threatening because I had complained. He told me that I was lucky some of ...
