Biggest load of tosh... dont buy!!! ended up with 3 exchanges on this item. When it worked it worked extremely well.
However the sh... fitting plug kept coming loose as well as the control unit failing twice.
After my third exchange I gave up going back to the dealer and now I have a completely useless £230 waistcoat gathering dust in the garage. Typical BMW ....charge top dollar for inferior cra* and then dont offer your customer the after sales cos we've had your money thank you!!

I opted for a Gerbing heated jacket liner instead as it has a lifetime warranty on the electrics. Customer service was first class and the item arrived in 2 days from order - impressive. I have aklso bought a pair of Gerbing Signature gloves too, which connect in to the jacket - sweet! (read more)

BMW have made a big mistake by stopping the provision of this item. The power socket on the bike now has no purpose, if you buy another make and damage (by some means) the electrics. Then it gives them the option to say they are not liable. (read more)

After reading numerous reviews on heated kit I decided to try out BMW's offering. They are unusually good quality kit if a little over priced.
No exceptions here then! Very light weight jacket liner without collar or sleeves (prefer this as it can get a bit tight with all your riding gear on!)
Plugs straight into BMW socket and provides instant heat. Control box can be knocked and this has happened to me a few times turning the heat up to unbearable or off!
