Good powerul bit of kit. The pump became very noisy after five years of heavy use (out lasted all previous power showers) a replacement was orderd (£87) and simply replaced in a few minutes using basic tools. The unit is now as good as new. Easy to set and use.

If the Mira Event XS Thermostatic shower was more reliable, it would be a good power shower. Mira must sort out this brittle plastic defect which occurs over such a short period of time. It means it becomes unrepairable after 2 years.

Selected the Mira Event XS Thermostatic shower as I wanted a good flow rate but had no easy place to install a booster pump. Rear entry pipewwork is an option but requires great care. Fixings need to be accurately positioned - make a template. One (of the 3) is semi-obscurred by the pipework. Mine went on OK but I was aware that a minor error would have been disastrous. Only works with gravity hot and cold supply.
