“Worst Bed EVER!”

I purchased this bed and paid over 3000. I have had back surgery in the past and thought that buying a good quality matress was just what I needed. However, a year later the bed is awful. The middle sinks in and the sides bow outward. When I wake up it takes an hour to walk out the kinks and pains from the bed. Very satisfied with WCW SAM after almost 10 years of comfort. Have made 3 warranty claims, first time just a couple of individual chambers, then complete replacement of each side. Each time I dismantle the mattress system I am amazed at the quality of the materials used. All 3 claims have been handled quickly and to my complete satisfaction. The date on the inner parts of my SAT bed is December, 2005. I noticed a few months ago that it would hiss and go flat in places when I sat on the side of the bed. I would also end up sleeping in a hole. I was talking to my husband about the possibility of getting a new mattress. Not wanting to drop a large sum of money to replace a bed I've generally been very happy with, I zipped off the top, pulled back the memory foam, and discovered that three of the tubes had become disconnected... Re satbed.com aka WCW Inc. aka Natural Form aka SAT Bed Inc. The mattress was at first quite comfortable. After a few years, it no longer maintains pressure. Making a warranty claim is proving impossible. They insist that you find and take a picture of the leak before sending any replacement parts. Really? Take a picture of a slow air leak? The company appears to have changed names and locations several times in recent years, including since the State of NJ sued. See: Zulima V.... (read more)

This review written 12/31/12 cites a release dated 2006 noting 33 consumer complaints from 2002 to "date" (2006). I purchased my SAT mattress from WCW in 2003 and have made 3 separate warranty claims which have all been handled to my complete satisfaction. The service rep provided detailed instructions on how to locate the leak and document it with a picture. The replacement parts were sent very quickly, Thanks to the problem identification process, only the parts needed were sent, saving me money because the 20 year warranty does not cover shipping costs. Yes I am an actual paying customer and I sleep very well!

My husband and I puchased the SAT mattress in December of 2009 from WCW, Inc. At first it was wonderful. We both like a firm mattress. He is a big man, but was reassured the mattress was rated 500 lbs per side. ( he weighs alittle over 2oo) We both agree that it is now like the other "too soft" mattresses. The dials are set at firm. SLEPT ON A NATURAL FORM MATTRESS AT THE HILTON GARDEN INN IN CHICAGO AND GOT THE BEST NIGHT'S SLEEP OF MY LIFE. TOOK ME MONTHS TO FIND THEM BECAUSE THE HOTEL CHAIN MISTAKENLY SAID THAT THEIR MATTRESSES WERE SELECT COMFORT. PURCHASED A GARDEN QUEEN SIZE AND GOT IT DELIVERED BY OLD DOMINION FREIGHT. My wife has ALS (Lou Gerhigs Disease) We bought the SAT bed in 2007 primarily due to its features for the medical community. Comfort, blood circulation. all advantages of mattress were true. She has never suffered from bed sores with this mattress. To compare, she spent 4 weeks in an ICU unit 2 yrs ago. Within the first week, she suffered from bed sores. Healthy tissue, spinal support and quality sleep are driving forces of our products. We apologize for your difficult customer service experience. Two months after your purchase we severed our relationship with the marketing company you dealt with and brought all sales and service in-house.

I purchased a SAT bed 6years ago " STUPID ". I should have returned it. I gave myself too long of trial period and it was too late to return it. 1500 dollers down the drain . Its too hard of a bad and it doesnt displace the air evenly so feel like your sleeping on big lumps. Ive got more aches and pains now then before so if your thinking about buying this bed dont!!! The SAT bed is the best we have seen, and we have been through several inner spring mattresses, and such. I do not awaken with the old back pain, and no stiffness on getting up. My wife adjusts for firmer, while my side is adjusted softer. great customer service, delivery was difficult with Old Dominion, but we got that fixed, and now would recommend this bed to anyone that needs (wants) to get a great nights sleep. This mattress is amazing, it literally adjusts to my body on its own. I had a coil mattress for the past 8 years and switched to this self adjusting mattress by natural form. I cannot even describe how good it is. just have to try it yourself. i would say this is even better than memory foam mattresses out there. My husband says his back pain is completely gone. The customer service for Natural Form is completely useless. I have a king sized powered adjustable bed and when one of the mattresses stopped holding air, I called to get it replaced. Upon opening up the mattress I also found quite a bit of mold. When I spoke with customer service I was told it was not possible for the mattress to have mold unless something was spilled on it, nothing was. SAT Self Adjusting Technology is a great Bed. Makes total sense. I wanted a mattress made by an actual scientific company; not one made with old technology (memory foam or sleep number air sack with remote or springs).
I love being able to wash my bed.
This does not compare to consumer-grade beds.

Both my wife and I have back problems.We have had various name brands of inner spring mattresses, all of which have proven to be unsatisfactory after two years or less.
We purchased the SAT Mattress in August 2008. The mattress is wonderful. Just a slight adjustment of the control changes the firmness. My side is set a bit past Optimum and hers is about 4. No more back pain for either of us.
The sales people were great and delivery was timely.

I found this review somewhat helpful because I'm considering purchasing a Garden Sleep System but the reviewer did not state what model of mattress he had purchased. There are several models of mattresses that employ the SAT system.

This Self Adjusting Technology bed is HOT! About 3 am we wake up sweating! I called customer service but they were of little help just said it was due to the foam on top of the air chambers. I tried removing the wool cover and replacing with another type and even purchased a Bedfan I found on-line but we still get woke up due to body heat trapped in the bed after a few hours. My husband (who never really cared about a bed) loves this one. I have a bad back and I sleep great. I hate to be away from home. I love that I can wash the cover whenever I want and that all the parts can be replaced so it will never be an ugly pile in a dump that lasts forever. With the 90 day test you can't lose! Love it!

We have been delighted with this sleep system from the day we purchased it over the internet about 4 years ago. We had tried the Sleep Number type at a friend's and found it felt uneven, and we didn't like having those wires and remotes to deal with. We also tried the Tempurpedic, and it didn't feel as if you were "sleeping on air." The literature on the website was impressive, but the true test would be how the mattress felt. This bed is heavenly. We have had 3 innerspring mattresses in our 12 year marriage. Never again will I own one of those. This mattress is all it says it is. You can feel the air adjusting to the perfect setting. I have not had one bit of neck pain or back pain since we bought the SAT Self Adjusting Technology bed, and neither has my husband. He has back problems, and he is thrilled with this bed and the relaxing nights sleep that he is getting.

The SAT Self Adjusting bed is the first bed I have owned that I wake up with no back or joint pain. Good customer service. Likely the best choice between air and memory foam bed, without the problems specific to these other sleep systems.

Was told I would recieve the mattress within 10 days, wrong, without Karen at SAT customer service God only knows when I would have recieved the bed. The mattress does not self adjust, it had a firm / soft setting, regardless of the setting you could not tell the difference between the bed and the floor. I went so far as to talk to the owner who actually picked up the line yelling! (read more)
