I've been using the lily lolo mineral foundation for a few weeks now and am just over the moon to have found something that truely makes me look like an air-brushed but totally natural version of me!!! :) I have skin that tends to get so dry in patches that I occasionally get excema, and I also have an oily t-zone. My skin is also a typical pale English Rose with pink tones. I have never found a single foundation that didn't look yellow, caked and dirty on me. The lily lolo one is incredible... (read more)

I have had combination skin for as long as I can remember ( I am 50). I also have uneven skin tone. I have tried just about every liquid foundation going and it always looked greasy after a few hours and I had dry flaky patches at the sides of my nose. I read about Lily Lolo in the Times about 2 years ago and sent off for a sample of Blondie. I've not used anything else since. It stays on all day and gives an incredibly natural and glowing look. I have been keen to try mineral makeup for a while now, but have always been quite skeptical as to whether it would live up to it's great reputation. I ordered some samples of the lily lolo makeup from the website and it arrived very quickly (2 days). I've been using mineral make up for the last year, but finally, I've found one that delivers!
It really fulfils the promise of mineral make up.
For the 1st time ever I've got a foundation that matches my skintone, and the Translucent finishing Silk leaves my skin flawless but natural. Everyone keeps telling me how well I look.

Absolutely brilliant product, a really natural coverage. Doesn't last all day but can easily top it up after a couple of hours. Doesn't make you're skin feel cloggy. I use the foundation and the concealer every day after changing from another foundation that used to give me really bad skin. I have never had any further problems since switching to this product as it is so light. This is a great product once you have got used to applying it. If you get too much on your brush then it can looked a little overdone on your face, however when you get that right, it really does look great. I have used Lancome foundation for 20 years, however have found this gives a far more natural finish and blends in really well. The samples are a great idea to find the right colour for you. I ordered a sample of the 'in the buff' foundation and the 'nude' concealer. I've never tried mineral foundation before but I'm really impressed. I don't generally wear foundation because I find liquid versions don't sit nice on my skin so I thought I'd give mineral a try and I love it. I usually use Clarins products, including foundation, but wanted to try mineral foundation because of the hype and to avoid over-using products containing parabens. AMAZING!!!! I've tried: Clinique, Prescriptives, YSL, Laura Mercier, MAC, Chanel, Estee Lauder... I have spent my whole adult life searching for a foundation that looks natural but covers imperfections in skin tone and i have finally found it!! I love lily lolo!! Their foundation is so much better for my skin than anything else I have tried. I used to use liquid foundation and thought that a powder wouldn't be enough coverage for me but i was suprised at how well it went on. The price is very reasonable and the fact that you can order samples is an added bonus. I have just made a second order to get some under eye concealer. Inferior product, when compared to Bare Escentuals and very poor customer service. Twice in the past, with other companies I've asked for a refund due to an allergic reaction and on both occasions been refunded promptly. Lily Lolo refused any form of refund or credit note for their product which made my face feel dry and then itchy. A nasty matt finish made me feel and look like I'd dusted my face in flour or talc . Won't buy from them again or recommend them or their products. (read more)

I also didn't find this helpful. If you have allergies then you should be reading ingredient lists to indentify what you are allergic to. I do think it's quite cheeky to be asking for a refund AGAIN from yet another company - do you expect to be kept in free products for the rest of your life? Lily Lolo provide samples - anyone with allergies would have bought the sample product first, that's why they sell samples!

I ordered a trial pot of the porcelain mineral foundation from Lily Lolo as I had read the reviews here and liked the sound of a foundation that looked natural, didn't cake or move into creases plus was kind to the skin.

I am NC30 skin(according to Mac), and ordered almost every sample in light or light medium shad to try, still made mistake by use in the buff as it is dark, so the full size pot £12 going to the waste. On the whole I did like the Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics Mineral Foundation, it gives good coverage and i think it is very well priced. I did however think other products were very over priced and the company had a poor attatude towards my questions surrounding this. The setting powders are priced at 99p for a 0.75g sample and £12 for 4.5g tub, this effectively makes the large tub double the price of the equivalent amount of sample pots. Lily Lolo is really good at covering spots and looks really natural and doesn't cost too much money either and they do tester pots that are really useful to try out before you by the actualy make up. Being pale and freckly with combination skin I was a complete foundation virgin until the age of 28 when i discovered Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation. I love the range of Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics Mineral Foundation colours and the fact that they do not contain alot of chemicals.
The powders can be messy if you are, like me, prone to accidents and frequently drop things.
I have had bad skin (acne) for years and spent years and a small fortune trying to find make up like this, it not only covers up blemishes but also does not make it worse.

Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics Mineral Foundation was the first mineral foundations I tried and haven't found a better one yet. It goes on easily, blends well, and stays on all day giving a good coverage. Although coverage can be increased if needed in some areas by application of fine layers. There are so many different shades to choose from it would be hard not to find one that suits your skin tone and being able to buy samples to try out is a great advantage. (read more)

Lily Lolo is easily the best make up I've ever tried, they do a huge range of shades to suit every skin tone and sell testers which last about a week for you to try for practically nothing! I have been using Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation for the last 6 months or so.
My skin tone is very uneven and my nose is always very red due to really bad sinuses. The foundation works wonders for my skin tone and it stays on. I blow my nose a lot throughout the day (every day!) and the foundation stays on which was never the case with any other foundation I tried (and I tried plenty!).

LILY LOLO ROCKS!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! In the past I've tried many different foundations. I have combination skin and at times very dry skins. I see one or two reviews state its no good for dry/mature skin but I have to disagree - all you need is a decent moisturiser. I only use E45 and it works great with the foundation. Really easy to use once you get used to it and lovely smooth appearance - no more clumping or flaking! You do need to be patient to build up coverage if you need to cover redness, blemishes etc. Also lasts ages. I stumbled across this foundation on a forum. I had never heard of it before, but since they offer small sample sizes, I figured, why not?
First of all, it gives equal if not better coverage than a liquid foundation, and coverage close to a cream to powder. Blends very well (as long as you have a good brush) and has really good staying power.
My favorite part is that the shade Porcelain is actually almost white, which by definition porcelain is. Most company's Porcelain is about 4 shades...

I'm really pleased to be finally using a make up that has not so far had a delitarious effect on my skin. I've used all the top brands in the past and when I've used them on an every day work basis, I've found myself prone to small white occasional spots and flaking. I found this review not helpful because... there is no bismuth oxychloride in Lily Lolo so it is almost impossible to get an allergic reaction! - Unlike Bare Escentuals which does have Bismuth Oxychloride - a serious skin irritant!
