“Awful customer service”

Delivery was fine - but the parka was too large and had a zip that kept sticking. I returned my goods 10 days ago. I phoned to explain I would be returning them and why. I returned them 10 days ago and since then nobody has called or emailed to notify me of receipt of the goods or to reimburse. Thank heavens I sent them recorded delivery (so have proof of delivery) and not in the general first class post, as gear-zone recommended when I called them. First experience with gear-zone and their website is impressive and easy to navigate. So I proceeded with ordering and today 17/05/2011 recieved an auto generated email stating that my order had been cancelled as they don't have it in stock. Out of curiosity I went to the site to check the item and it was still showing in stock for X-Large. I've emailed that they should keep their website updated to save potential customers unnecessary placing orders on out of stock items. Not good experience… Read Full Review

This was my first experience with Gear-Zone and it was very negative.

My order was placed on 11 December (am) and I received an email confirmation within an hour stating that the item was in stock and the order was being packed. On 17 December, no email confirmation that the order had shipped so I emailed them and received a response that the item had "just sold out". Interesting, since it was in stock the previous week when I ordered it and paid for it.

I found this review very helpful because... I ordered a coat over a week ago from Gearzone web, no email correspondence from them about progress on the order and you can''t get hold of them.. their phone is either engaged or on answer machine.. what a professional company!!!

After phoning up Gear zone about some questions I had about the Leatherman range I chose the wave. It arrived next day and it was well packaged. I am very pleased with the choice I made with the item and the price was the cheapest I could find.I would defiantly recommend this website to friends and family and will be using the website in the near future for my climbing equipment… Read Full Review

I was a bit sceptical seeing these poor reviews, but i noticed that they are from 2007 and the more recent ones were positive. So i ordered a jacket and it arrived within the alloted time they gave. I ordered two more jackets and a pair of boots and everything ran very smoothly. Their prices are cheap and the service waqs very good.

Only to receive an automated email telling me the item wasn't in stock and would have to wait around 21 days for it to be ordered from manufacturers. I then sent an email asking to cancel the order as 21 days was too long (was going away in a week or so). I received an email telling me my card would be refunded within 14 days. I ordered items over a month ago after ordering i received an email stating they would be 14 - 21 days delay for my order, I canceled straight away but it was two weeks before i received an email confirming cancelation the email stated that it could be 14 days before i would receive my refund!
