Bad Points: What ever you do don't move house when you have the card! Loading becomes difficult.
General comments: In principle a very good idea and a real boon for travellers. Rates are great and lack of charges very appealing.
Seems a good idea but try the alternative providers just to be sure.

Internet facility not very user-friendly (can't download transactions). Not fully confident about their security procedures. I only had my card for 2 months, and had two alleged fraudulent transactions posted. They froze the account pending an investigation (which is fair enough), but wouldn't refund the remaining funds back to my debit card - in case there are any more transactions coming through. So I can't access my funds for 30 days!
Good product as long as nothing goes wrong. A pain to deal ...

You load the Caxton card from a uk bank card at a given rate. You then spend at shops etc in euros. Simple. The rate you have loaded at is fixed so it's not a blind gamble every time you use the card, unlike Visa or Mastercard credit cards.
Overall, I am very happy with the card
