I bought these games for my son last Christmas at Gbgame.co.uk. Understandably he was extremely upset that the games did not work on his PS2 console. I was then informed that I would have to purchase Swap Magic. Even after installing the three tiny modules and running the Swap Magic disc, the games would not work.
After emailing GB Game support, they offered to refund me my money if I sent back the games. I did this at a cost of £8 secure postal. I have not heard anything since. They refused to answer any emails and I cannot get hold of a contact telephone number. I could not even get onto the GB web page. I do not know if it still exists! I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I ordered a game from Gbgame for my husbands birthday in April, which arrived late and didn't work on our console. I then returned the sealed game by recorded delivery, and even after several e-mails to the company, I have still not got my money back. I have now taken to sending 10 e-mails a day to the company asking where my refund is. Perhaps if we all do this they might get sick of us and give us our money back. You can always hope!

Gbgame.co.uk sells non-UK games that are incompatible. Their returns policy is terrible, and they have no customer service, and fail to make refunds. If you paid by credit card, get your money back from them. Tell them you are entitled under the Consumer Credit Act. Not so if you paid by debit card.

I ordered the Rugby 2006 PS2 game for my son's birthday from Gbgame in plenty of time to allow for delivery, but the game still took 7 days to arrive, even though they say 2-3 working days. The game arrived but it wasn't possible to play it on my son's PS2, as it isn't a chipped console. IF ONLY MY SON HAD CHECKED BEFORE OPENING THE SELOPHANE!!! Mind you, it probably wouldn't have made a difference, as from reading the reviews, people have lost money trying to sort it out. I contacted them to ...

I recently bought the game Need For Speed from Gbgame. At first I thought it was a great price but there was a reason behind it. They sell imported games which don't work on English PS2s. When I tried returning it unopened they wouldn't e-mail back.

I ordered a copy of a PS2 game from GB Game on the 12th of February as a gift for my son. The money was taken from my credit card on the 13th of February, but I had to send several messages to get it nudged out of 'distribution'. A meaningless tracking code was sent in an email to say that it was in the post, and it finally arrived on the 4th of March from Thailand. We then discovered that it was for the NTSC system and not the PAL system which all UK systems use. Calling themselves 'GB Game' is ...

I paid Gbgame.co.uk over £8 to send games back to Thailand, but have received no reimbursement for games. Bad customer service. I have lost £44, they just don't seem to care. As a result we could only buy our son 1 game, in reality that 1 christmas present ended up costing £74 . This sort of company gives internet buying a really bad name.

We bought a game from GB Game which arrived on time BUT it was from Thailand and did not work on my PS2! As if that's not bad enough they charged me for it twice and there is no method of contacting them for my money back! We have since reported them to Watchdog - If you do the same we can make a difference and bring down those that conned us out of our money! Power to the Consumer!

Ordered a PS2 game early December for Christmas now mid Jan and it still hasn't turned up but trying to get a refund is proving difficult. Gbgame blame the loss on the Post Office!!

Please don't buy from Gb Game. The company is based in the UK but the goods are sent directly from Thailand and are useless for UK Playstations. You can't contact anybody. It is a complete rip-off. AVOID!

GB Games send out games that are pirated, meaning I am now down £20.

Still waiting for my order, but after reading this site and the FAQ's on the GB Games site don't hold out much hope. They do state clearly in their FAQ's that you will need additional software. Main page of Website is very misleading, I was sucked in. My parcel was posted same day as ordered, by airmail, but for some reason takes over 3 weeks to deliver, must be flying from Mars. I did not know imported meant unplayable cheap copy. Now no way of contacting them.
    READ THE FINEPRINT.

I brought my two sons 11 games from Gbgame and none of them work. So spent loads of money with them. Even thought it was my PS2 so brought one from Japan and guess what they still don't work!

My son bought a game from GB Game with Christmas money, arrived in package from Thailand! Alarm bells, can't play game as it's a pirate copy. £20 out of pocket. Never use these.

After returning an unopened parcel to Gbgame.co.uk by recorded signed for international delivery on the 21st Nov 05 at a cost of 9 pounds and emailing them several times since but with no reply. This company seems to be based in Britain but it products are delivered from Thailand which is where I had to return them.
    One to be avoided

I would advise anyone avoid Gbgame not to even buy any of their pirated games.

When I ordered my game I waited 2 weeks and when I received the package it was sent from Thailand which sounded the alarms bells. As soon as the package was opened it was immediately obvious that the cover was not original due to the poor print quality. Worse, there was no manual provided and the DVD disc had no Playstation branding or holograms on the disc that you would normally find on an authentic product. A c ...
