    Good Points: Zoom works fine
    Easy to use.
    Decent lens and picture quality

Bad Points: by lack of high capacity memory card

General comments: The Fuji Finepix 2800 is a little bit bulky now., but gives good grip.
Unusal shape ( like the traditional SLR)
    Zoom works fine
    Easy to use.
    Decent lens and picture quality
Let down only by lack of high capacity memory card.
Even with a 128 mb card, will soon be filled up if used for video clips.

Over all it's a great camera for the price. I sold mine to get a newer version of fuji, and I regret it. So if anyone is interested to sell there Fuji finepix 2800, I will be glade to buy it from you.

The Fuji Finepix 2800 is excellent for all-round pictures. Digital cameras are going for more and more megapixels but 2M is perfectly adequate for all shots up to 8"x6", and most non-commercial printers today can only handle this spec. Variable settings give additional control of picture quality. 128 SM good for most trips and occasions. Always use a card reader to transfer images to computer. EVF a must for viewing in bright sunlight, something that pocket digitals miss out on completely!

I have owned my Fuji Finepix 2800 Digital Camera for over 2 years and it has been put through a lot! Very tough, very reliable and for a great price. Constantly amazed at the quality of shots taken and the Macro feature is remarkable. Batteries don't last long in any DC but used sensibly the Finepix will last all day. The large optical zoom enables a real zoom quality and freshness to your pics and cropping is a breeze. I particully like the vintage movie look you achieve when you use the video ...

First of all one of the lugs holding the strap broke after about 12 months and now even worse the Fuji Finepix 2800 digital camera will not turn on despite cleaning battery terminals etc

pc world refuse to do anything
the camera is 2 yrs 1 month old and according to trading standards consumer law protects me so guess who will probably have to sue pc world.

I came across a helpful site which explained that the fault was well known:

The mount for the strap on my Fuji Finepix 2800 digital camera broke after 12 months
But worse still the camera has completely died
no power, some web sites says this is a known fault, after 2yrs and 1 month
PC World are refusing to fix it
But will be taking them to court as it's so young in camera terms
I've got a canon slr which is still fine after 30 years!

I stepped-up from a A101 to the Fuji Finepix 2800, both are great digital cameras, but the 2800 is exceptional for the price. I have three 16MB SmartMedia cards to go with it and I can shoot all day and edit quickly when I get home. One of the very best cameras and an ideal companion to my SLR
Can and do recommend it anyone.

Considering the Fuji Finepix 2800 was the first digital camera I ever bought, I didn't do too badly. Would I buy another Fuji? I doubt it. And, I'll tell you why. Just after I bought it the smart media became almost impossible to locate. Come to find out, it is no longer made. (So, I hope my film chip lasts!)

Faces tend to go on the red side. Thank goodness I have Photoshop! But still, a less red-biased profile could have been used. (Does Fuji use that awful SRGB?)

Being a novice to taking digital pictures, i was amazed at this little package. The first thing that caught my attention about the Fuji Finepix 2800 Digital camera was the easy setup. After turning on the camera for the first time it asked for the date and time, no searching through pages of instructions to find out how to do this. The next thing that caught my attention was the handling of this camera, all the buttons where either at my finger tips, or could be operated with the thumb i found t ...

I just recently purchased this Fuji Finepix 2800 digital camera for an excellent deal. It was marked down from $499 CAD to $299 CAD. I researched this camera on the 'net, and found it to be highly recommended.

I love the fact that this camera, although by no means large, is easy to hold. I don't like the other smaller is better cameras being sold. I would worry about dropping and losing the camera. This camera has a comfortable hand grip, and is quite sturdy.

After my Kodak DC25 went belly up on holiday I was all set on buying a new camera. Having known about Fuji's reputation, and wanting a camera with a larger optical zoom, I opted for the Fuji Finepix 2800. There is nothing quite like it (or its replacement) on the market at the moment. The 2800 still looks like a real camera and it really is a fantastic looking camera in the flesh.

There is nothing really to be said about the picture quality other than it is absolutely superb. I have print ...

The Fuji Finepix 2800 is a great little camera, had it for 18 months with only an initial connection to the Pc problem, which was fixed under warranty.
The picture quality is fine for 2megpix.
the software and the camera are easy to use.
Beware of battery use, but a good set of 1800mAhr rechargeables will last for quite a while.

I have had this Fuji Finepix Digital camera for over 12 months with no real problem, but just the other day the lug on the camera body which is part of the anchor for the strap broke off. Examination showed this to be a very small and insubstantial part of the moulded case. (an average wristwatch has a far stronger design and yet does not weigh 270g!) Repair will require complete replacement of the main case of the camera! It is worth noting that the camera is usually carried in a bag and not on ...

For the quality minded person on a budget you CAN'T go wrong with this Fuji Finepix 2800. I'll admit it is a little older model however for the overall quality of photos, it compares right up there with the new models of today. 2.0 mega pix is all that is needed for fantastic clear/sharp photos to email or post on websites. You don't need to spend more money for higher pixels if emailing or posting is mostly what you'll do. It also will do wonderful photo quality prints up to 5x7 with a good pho ...

If you think this camera looks good on the web wait until you see it in the flesh. This is what I call sexy.

As soon as I received it this morning I put in the batteries/memory card and was ready to start taking pictures within minutes. This is my first digital camera and so far I have been very impressed.

I live in the UK and bought mine from www.cameras2u.com for £189 incl delivery (next day guarranteed - these guys are brilliant). When the camera first came out it cost around ...

This Fuji Finepix 2800 digital camera was bought to upgrade from a FinePix 1300. Stayed with Fuji due to reliability, colour accuracy (especially blues), simplicity, price, and the fact I've accumulated SmartMedia cards with the FP1300.
-Finder: Love knowing what camera settings are in effect when I look in the finder, as seldom used the LCD with the FP1300 (Used to take snaps with wrong settings from previous picture, now I'm reminded immediately). I like the "Rule of Nine" lines in the EVF an ...

I have had the Fuji Finepix 2800 digital camera for over 5 months and have been extremely pleased with it.

The one point I haven't seen mentioned is that the electonic viewer (eye piece) enables one to review pics without reading glasses - a great bonus in the field. One unexpected outcome was the ability to photograph maps and then view through eye piece without reading glasses while out walking!

Digital read out horrible under low light situations. Battery life used quickly as is common with other digital camera's. A bundled charger and batteries would make this a better value purchase. Also a 240V power cord should have been bundled. Excellent image picking up all fine detail. A good family point and shoot design and some added functionality for those that like to delve for a better image under some conditions. However more manual functionality would be better. Flash worked great under ...

I've only had the camera a few hours and I have found it incredibly easy to use and I'm amazed at the quality of images that I've taken so far. The 2MP is more than enough for what I wanted the camera for. My first digital camera was a Fuji 2200, which I still have and it has produced some really brilliant photos. My days of using a Canon EOS 500 SLR and Kodak films are well and truly over -I part exchanged this for the 2800 and its the best thing I did!
My only gripe is, that I find that the ...
