Good Points: Excellent product overall, most impressive.

Bad Points: Remote, not the best to use.

General comments: I think the Pacific 1002w is excellent for the money I have had all sorts of dvd players but I must say it is worth thinking about if you wish to purchase a player, why spend a fortune when this player can do and play all sorts. Overall very satisfied.

The Pacific 1002w is the best machine I have ever had, if this product is anything to go by, I will be checking out other goods by Pacific.

Picked this Pacific 1002w DVD player up yesterday as a player for the bedroom. I have tried various offerings of supermarket DVD players but they have all been returned due to faults within hours of ownership. So far the Pacific has been spot on.

You get a scart lead and batteries for the remote. This saves you a couple of quid before you even get home.

I am impressed with the picture and sound quality for such a cheap player. I tried Spiderman as a test, colours look rich and vibrant ...

For £37 how can you go wrong , The Pacific 1002w plays any type of disk you try in it , even stored some mpeg video clips and some mp3 files on a CDRW while I reformatted my PC and tried them , they came up as a list and when play was pressed it just went through the whole list playing them . I had a faulty one at first which sounded like a helicopter taking off (not quite that loud but truely annoying )when I inserted certain disks , try the same brand on a different disk and its silent s ...

The Pacific 1002w is a great little player - found in ASDAs bargain basement for £42.49 and is far better than other players I was looking at which cost up to £150.

Multiregion hack is easy to zap in with the remote & I believe that there is a macrovision hack too.

    Extremely happy.

This Pacific 1002w DVD player is Asdas little gem at the moment - only £42.49 and plays everything you can throw at it.

The picture quality is excellent and the sound isn't bad too.
