Good Points: Starts first time usually, plenty of miles to the gallon, makes a bellowing sound to be proud of and looks fairly attractive:).

Bad Points: Have to be very careful with throttle or just cuts out, fairly slow even for a 125, gear indicators stop working after a while and slips into gear with great difficulty.

General comments: I got my Hongdou HD for 17th 2 years ago and at first glimpse thought it was an amazing machine. But soon figured I couldn't be more wrong especially a couple of days later when I first rode it and it practically fell apart. Fortunately this was thanks to the company not bothering to tighten anything when they built it. So I fixed that and a couple of days later it struck a pretty bad petrol leak, which was also thanks to the company forgetting to put seals between the tank and the touch point of the frame. So now I have hole in my tank which then also had to be fixed. Which still didn't do justice for the damage done by the leaked petrol melting through 1 of my cruddie side panels and part melting a few wires. I am not going to put any thing else down cos will be here forever so to basically to sum up the bike its a heap:)

I got my Hongdou hd125-7 in the summer months to ride on nice day but I found it so easy to ride and so much faster through the traffic that I ride it every day. It only cost just over £1,000 on the Autotrader web site and it wont need a MOT for three years. There seems to be other simllar Chinese motorbikes around which look the same but on close inspection thay are lots of bit missing. Which are on the Hongdou hd 125-7 all in all it is a cracking leaner legal bike.
