It was a gift for my 70th Birthday so it had to be simple to operate and the instructions self explanitory .and the view- screen big enough for me to see ,the Radio Controlled "Weather station" model 4-LD1798 filled the bill just what I had been hopeing for .
I found that indeed it was well within my capability to set it up and within a few moments the time and date were on screen.compliments of the fatherland I believe. all the way from Frankfurt am main .? can this be so?
the rest was to follow .
I have quite a large open garden with a dividing fence ideal for installing the transmitter, I secluded it in a redundant bird nest Box.the receiver because of its versatility of design can sit on the window ledge
in the conservatory and has drawn many positive comments from my guests.
I found that setting the alarm a little bit difficult but after a couple of attempts managed but am still trying to increase the volume on the audio .
It was my intention to nip down to the shop topurchase another for my son ,unfortunately I had done too good a job in reccommending they were all sold out . I will have to wait till next delivery.
Regards
Robert Kerr

The outside sender didn't work as it should do. Without any comments a new sender was sent within a few days. Thanks!

“There are three models of this Digi-Tech GMBH wireless...”

★★★★★

written by Bertie on 15/12/2005

There are three models of this Digi-Tech GMBH wireless weather station available, but only in style as the digital displays are the same in all three.

The weather station consists of two units; a transmitter powered by a 2032 lithium battery and measuring 3 1/4 X 2 1/4 X 1 inches may be hung up if desired and although appearing to be reasonably weatherproof, (the battery screw-on cover has a rubber O-ring gasket), the instructions recommend protection from rain. The stated transmitting range is 30 meters, but I found the unit still worked at about 40 meters.

The receiver unit has six LCD displays. From top to bottom they are:-
Weather symbols - sun, clouds and rain.
Humidity.
Indoor temperature.
Outdoor temperature.
Year/date/day.
Time with alarm function.

All housed in an attractive mid-grey substantial plastic case measuring 4 1/4 X 3 3/4 X 1 1/2 inches backwards tiltable to about 25 degrees and powered by two AAA batteries,
it receives radio signals from the transmitter unit in the 433 MHz band so is safely away from most sources of potential interference.

Included in the package is a comprehensive and easily understood instruction booklet.

Having a greenhouse, I'm sure to find the ability to check on its temperature, especially on sunny days in Summer, without leaving my chair a big plus and at £7.99 from Lidl it just has to be a bargain especially when I found the temperature readouts were within less than 1 degree when checked against a mercury thermometer.

Hi, I’ve just received this item from a friend, unfortunately no booklet with it or remote, that doesn’t bother me, but I’m interested to know what all the symbols are. Does anyone know if/where I could get a booklet/instructions? Thank you

My sensor r/censor 4-LD3091-T art-Nr61430 from the Auriol weather station is not working. It was positioned outside under the eaves, but somehow there was water ingress and the contacts have corroded. What is the cost of replacement?
