I can honestly say I love Sugar Magazine! I will go through each part individually:
The aesthetics of Sugar Magazine are beautiful. The magazine is very colourful and has very nice design. I personally like the appearance of Sugar Magazine a lot! I think it is aimed appropriately at the target market and definitely fits it's function.

I think its a great magazine for teenagers, i would reccomend this for girls aged 12-16. I really like the gossips, real life stories and the fassion tips. I like the freebies they are very useful which comes free with the magazine, you dont have to pay extra for the freebies. Sometimes if you buy them seperately in other shops its much more expensive. It's OK - it's a normal overpriced teen magazine! I do like ready it but it costs so much for so little.
I'd much rather get a adult magazine which is the same size but like 90p - £1.40 which is about a fourth or a third less with more exciting stuff!
My favourite part is the horoscopes though, they are so good!
Buy it if your like 10 - 12, but it really doesn't hit it's 'target market'

I like that they have advice on things, as girls growing up need to know what should be happening and what shouldn't. They help girls find out whether they need to get something checked out by a doctor or whether it's totally normal.
I don't like that they sometimes use about 5 pages putting about clothes and where they are from. They could be using a lot of those pages for useful information, like important facts that will help people out with their problems

Sugar magazine contains a lot of beauty and fashion advice which proves quite useful! I also love the way it is layed out in quite a sophisticated way! The recent issue I had made me think I had a free lipgloss when in fact I didn't. I would also like the price lowered. I recommend this to all teenage girls between 13-19. (read more)

Everything is good about Sugar! True Life Stories, Celebs, Advice Colums, And They Also Have Extra Pages Like... The Truth Behind Self Harm Or Bulling Or OCD Which Really Makes People Understand ! It's The Best Magazine Around! Even my mum likes reading it. So I Would Reccomend at whatever age to read this when you're bored or got a bit of time because you'll be glad you did! The true life stories are outstanding I'm so glad Sugar exists, other wise without their advice and true life stories to guide the way and set examples who knows what I'd be doing wrong then getting in trouble later. In my opinion Sugar is the best teen mag on the market. It has all the topics teen girls like: fashion, beauty, health, celebrities, boys, advice and real life. I tried many others to fine my perfect mag when I was younger and only this fit the bill. I also love the free gifts, giveaways and hot men extra mag.

i don't find the clothes tips all that great, i think sugar's focus is too much on beauty, all their models are very thin and when they have someone a bit bigger they espose them for their benfit to look like a 'kind, caring magazine' really it comes down to the fact that beauty sells, when a girl see's that cover girl and how lovely looking she is they think that is how they should look, thats how a beautiful successful person should look, and i don't think it helps at all when they take girls and pick at their faults and tell them what to wear and what not, its basically like 'make the best of what you have, cause you'll never look like her and its pathetic. i don't care that im big i still feel beutiful it is focusing on size and no matter what shape or form your put it in good or bad, it makes no difference, she is still going to wish she was 'perfect'.
<br>The magazine isn't all bad, i like its problem pages, and real life stories, anti bulling, cringe, and some of the interviews to, its a good read but it needs to be for someone who is comfortable with themselves and can't be bothered to go into the in's and outs of their faults, just want a good read.

Sugar is an ace mag because it always keeps you up to date with all the latest celebrity gossip plus the freebies are always dead cool. But I reckon that it should print posters of fitter lads and not waste precious paper on people like the Kaiser Chiefs ect ect I mean they are an ace band but lack in the looks department if ya get me.
