    Good Points: Great reception, almost everywhere, loads of memory, and diffrent from all other phones, and a really stupid game called bananas which is funny. Its also dirt cheap, and comes with hands free.


    Bad Points: Not a colour screen, and has really bad ringtones.


    General comments: My Sony CMD J7 is the best little phone i've ever had, does the job a phone is meant to do very well, and hardly anyone has one, so its a bit diffrent.

    I love this phone but want a change in the ringtones. It would be fun to be able to play around with it a little if anyone has any websites where the sony j7 is compatible for ring tones can they send them onto me at ailbhefeeney@nuigalway.ie

    I had problems receiving SMS longer than 160 characters, the SMS is splitted in two but the two parts appear to be empty.

    The Sony CMD J7 is a good mobile phone, especially if you are tired of nokias or want to stand out from the crowd slightly. Personally I am very happy with the phone, and all phones have weak points and just overcoming those on the J7 isn't too difficult. With recent price drops the J7 is looking an even more attractive proposition

    I really like this phone, The design is very good and the menu structure is just as simple as the Nokia phones, but looks much better. Ringtones have a nice sound, but you can't compose them. Right now one of the best phones at the market.

    The Sony Ericsson J7 mobile phone looks groovy and is nice to hold. The cool scrooler on the side is very easy to use.

    The Sony CMD J7 is a very good design mobile phone - excellent features, best sound options ever. The games are really bad. The reception is very good but i cannot find the options for vibrating and keylock. Please, if somebody could help me i would appreciate it very much. My mail is ilicn@yahoo.com thanks

    High Fidelity! The Sony CMD J7 mobile phone sounds great... your friends will turn their heads to hear where the tune is coming from. Menu is made from a rotating 'pearl necklace' of icon bearing orbs, which are good for the eyes! Cool, but with teething troubles.

    Had my Sony J70e (Orange) since xmas (Prezzie to self). Replaced my BORING 7110 Nokia and have been very happy since the upgrade. It still isnt that common even though its coming down in price.

    A different place for 'ring tones' can be found at :-
    www.wakeyoo.com (tones for an odd alarm clock, but works VERY well on the J70 !!!!!)

    i really like the Sony cmd J7 mobile phone for size, looks, battery life, ease of use. but some of the extra features are poor. recordable ring tones are short and sound fuzzy. games are OK but not addictive.

    i think i sum the Sony CMD j7 mobile phone up with the good/bad points. Although i've listed a few bad points i do actually like this phone, and it will be better than anything anyone else has.

    I love this cmd j7 phone from Sony and it is an absolute bargain at £120. I've got it on virgin which is also a wicked tariff. A wide selection of ringtones and if you get bored of them then you can record your own. Addictive games. Schedular to sort your entire life out, you'll never forget a birthday, function, party or anything else ever again. With the WAP you can find out anything you want anywhere you want. Get it on virgin and you've also got the virgin extras horoscopes, footie res ...

    The Sony jog dial means you can skip through the menus really easily which is good as there is loads of things you can access and do. There is a wide range of original ringtones and with the recorder you can make them be even more original. The games are fun, but not the best. E-mail and WAP are good. Messaging is excellent with T9, really easy to use. I would definitely recommend it.

    The style of the Sony CMD J7 phone is great, fits in your hand nicely, not too big or small, i have had that in the past, small phones... dont even go there. The recorded ringtones is a unique idea, and has attracted my attention. As for graphics, games, text messaging... great! no problems what so ever. A sophisticated looking phone, but v. easy to use. I love it. If you reading a review to find the perfect phone for you, this phone will hopefully inspire you as it did to me. A definite 10/10!

    The Sony J7 is a great design.

    pukka features including recordable ringtones / polyphonic ringtones / calculator / sms with sound and pictures / e-mail / mobile internet / 4 games / schedular / t9 / 500 phone book entries / different downloadable wallpaper (background picture) / built in hands free / currency converter / world clock / vibration alarm / jog dial. etc etc etc. all for £120 sterling - excellent bargain.
