Good Points: Well built, lots of features and options for amateurs and enthusiasts, tilt-twist screen, easy to use, SD card, AA batteries, 4 x optical zoom, built-in lens cover, good video, excellent macro, and last but not the least - excellent picture quality.

Bad Points: Bit on the heavier side, needs extra set of 4 - 8 rechargeable AA batteries and charger (not supplied), date stamp does not work with all resolutions (except 1600x1400)!! Wonder WHY!?, problems with red-eye even with the red-eye reduction ON!, cannot delete more than one picture from the file at a time.

General comments: I was looking for a good all-in-one camera within a decent price range (200-300). Earlier options were the Panasonic FZ5, Canon S80, Nikon 7900 and Canon IS 2. I liked the anon PowerShot A620 for its 7.1MP resolution, tilt-twist screen, 4 optical zoom, manual controls, good macro, reasonably compact size, and all at a very affordable price.

This is my first Canon camera, but I must say, it is very easy to use. Although missing some silly features as mentioned above!
