Ok,I purchased my Theoben Crusader .20 off the boards about eight months ago
hoping it was awesome,I had an Elim in .20 but is was not a casual plinking gun to shoot for hours on end because of its extreme caulking effort. When i got the crusader it had a beech stock(looked Walnut)and when I recieved it I chronied it and it was way down on power.I tried to shoot it like this for a little but the gas ram let loose and split the stock.I ended up with a new walnut Elim stock and a rebuilt gas ram plus a new piston seal and now the gun is awesome after breaking it in.He set it at about 17.5-18 ft lbs and it loves beeman FTS ammo.I can hit my 1" spinner every time @ 50 yds no problem, what an awesome gun !!!Much easier to caulk than the Eliminator, but the power is not all that much less.

Judging from the odd problems I have read about from other reviewers I am pleased that I bought this rifle second hand (but in pristine condition) - that way you know it has been worn in a bit without any problems. ...

The Theoben Crusader air rifle is 22cal. This is my 2nd Theoben gun, and I also have an SLR-98. The power is 18.5ft lbs, with JCB Exact dome Field pellets. Accuracy is everything you would expect at this price. Seems to make one ragged hole @ 35 yards with the JCB`s, and grouping is around 25in. Crosman premiers are 2nd, while Gamo Hunter Domes also do well, grouping around .6in. I mention the stock finish because it is very dark, a scratch would really show up, and would be tough to touch up as ...
