Good Points: If you like sandalwood and cumin, prepare yourself for the motherload.
It has great sillage and lasts for hours.

Bad Points: If it doesn't work with your chemistry, you've just wasted a lot of money--it's expensive.
Even if you think it smells divine, this might be a fragrance that will keep others at bay.

General comments: Serge Lutens Santal de Mysore smells like mustard incense and syrup. Or cough medicine and sweat. Or Indian food. I'm not certain, but it's one of those fragrances where cumin and sandalwood battle it out and no one wins. I typically love--or at least like--Serge Lutens fragances, but this one just isn't for me. I won't call it disgusting--it's very body-chemisty oriented, and mine just doesn't go for it. No, this I imagine, is more suited to a mysterious gypsy from days of old, all wrinkled and exaggerated and drowning in silky bold orange, brown, and purple materials. It's too sweet, too somber, too spicy...too much.
