John Smiths Extra Smooth is one of the best beers I have ever tasted.

John Smiths Extra Smooth beer is soapy and bubbly with little flavour.
Really, as a beer drinker, if this was my only choice I would consider Guinness or Carling!! Or sobriety. Personally, when I was 15 I started drinking Watney Red and Worthington E, so I shouldn't moan. John Smiths Extra Smooth is children's beer like they were.

Guinness is too heavy, Caffrey's (my former favourite) is too sweet. Lager is mostly laughable; too gassy and too chemically packed. Only occasionally is there a good one.
John Smiths Extra Smooth Beer is excellent all the time!! I've managed to convert a lot of my mates to it, even though it is usually perceived as an 'old man's beer'. Even the girls like it. Just recently I've tried John Smiths Extra Cold, which is even better. Extra Cold is not sold in many places though, but Extra Smooth is everywhere. I've only found one place in Colchester so far that does Extra Cold.
This is also a superb beer from the can, but make sure that you get the one in the green cans NOT the brown one. The brown cans of JS are awful. They are not Extra Smooth.

John Smiths Extra Smooth is an exceedingly tasty beer...what more can I say? Worth every penny!
