Good Points: The strategizing of units positions
Bad Points: If a unit dies, they don't come back
General comments: Fire-Emblem is generally, a GameCube game where you order units to fight the opponent. It is really fun strategizing where your units go to attack. If you don't plan correctly, then your units might die. You can give your characters weapons. Some weapons can attack from a distance, and some MUST be short range. Bows are long-range items. Swords (most cases) are short range. Long range attacking short range person won't get attacked back, whereas short-range attacking long range won't get attacked back either! So that can give you an upper-hand sometimes, and the lower-hand at others. Some weapons like the javelin and hand axe can be used Short-range and Long-range! I think this is very smart. Apart from Swords, Axes, Lances and Bows, there is also Magic (Wind, Fire and Electricity, and also light) and healing mages.
The only bad part I thought was that the battles don't look very real. Most of the time it's someone standing still. They take a blow, then they deal a blow back. Sometimes they miss, but it's not authentic battling. Apart from that, everything seems so realistic! Defending your own keep or killing the boss, routing enemies, retreating...all ways to complete chapters! All real planning of attacks and movements! I'd defiantly recommend this game! It's great!
