“Nice Bike - Needs xtra Gear”

Written on: 12/03/2013 by jackie1234 (1 review written)

The C50 is a great mid-cruiser but like the author mentioned, It does need a 6th Gear ! ! Nice looking, well built bikes. But I did sell mine last year because of the lack of a 6th gear. If Suzuki should ever decide to add a 6th gear, I would be a repeat buyer and Suzuki would probably sell a zillion more C-50's. Great bike for beginners or seasoned riders. Classic styling with modern advantages. (fuel injected, shaft drive) RIDE Safe! (read more)

“Bought it used with high miles.”

It's my 2nd bike. Guy at work me his 2005 C50T with 24,000 miles on it for only $3,000 so he could by a 2004 HD Road King for $8,000. The other day he told me he's put over a thousand bucks in his bike for repairs. When he asked me what I've put into mine since I bought it from him, I replied "gas". I've put over 6,000 miles on it this year, (2012) commuting 20 miles a day in both stop and go and city driving. I also take it on the open road for hours at a time on the weekends. This bike is... I would go bigger if I were you. It handles two up riding fine but it's a little buzz y on the freeway. I'm looking at the V Star 1300 or the Suzuki C 90 now.

“Big honda fan switched to Suzuki & loves it, my best bike”

I've rode street bikes for over 35 years, most of them on Honda's, great bikes. But my Suzuki C50T the best bike I have ever ridden. Granted it's 2 weeks old, it should feel great, the temp's here have been in the low 40's so i only have a little over 150 miles so far, but everything feels so right.I'm 5'9 and about 180lbs and all the controls are well in reach for me, the power feels good,i'm still breaking everything in. and it looks freakin great (read more)

Have ridden hondas since the 70's, have 230,000 plus on my daily ride Goldwing 1500, the suzuki is plenty of power, and stability, easy to motor around town, or commute for my hour ride to mix it up from the wing. Seems more like a bicycle after 10 years on the goldwing, and I LIKE it! “My best motorcycle ever.”

Written on: 12/05/2012 by Claudelam

This is my 5th motorcycle and my best. It is a 2006 model with almost 7000 miles on it. Great looking, very comfortable, easy to handle, super reliable and economical to buy and maintain. My wife and I are almost 200 pounds (each) and this is no problem for this bike to handle. I added a tach, light bar, engine guards, a carry rack. floorboards for my honey and an outlet for my GPS. I am truly enjoying this baby. No desire to trade for anything else at this time. (read more)

Shifting is a breeze lots of room and a tac is not nesessary at all , shifts smooth and quick. Handles like a dream around corners, very responsive , you feel like it is an extention of your body rather then something you labour to guide. I am a lady rider. I didnt know anything about bikes, just that I love to ride on them. I decided I wanted my own. I just purchased my c50 4 days ago. “Perfect Bike”

I purchased a Suzuki C50T 3 months ago. Many times while shopping for a new bike, I was "pushed" and "tempted" to go bigger. I'm glad I did not cave in. the bike is absolutely perfect. It's quick and nimble in the city, and it rides smooth as a whistle on the open road. I could not have asked for a better bike. I often ride with folks on larger bikes, and I have no issues keeping up or leading the pack. The C50 feels just right. I would recommend it to anyone! Soon after my... (read more)

Written on: 26/09/2011

I bought this bike a little while ago, and wanted to get some miles on it before writing this review. I have to say that this bike suprises me every time I jump on it. It has more than enough power to keep up with anyone you maybe riding with, it has perfect balance for cornering and tight turns, and the miles per gallon make it perfect for long runs (52mpg). If I had to pin point one thing that makes the ride a little uncomfortable for me, it is the reach of the handle bars, at 5'10 I find... (read more)

I like the look of the C50 better than almost any other. I bought a '07 for $4600 with only 1200 miles on it. I liked it when I picked it up...but after riding for a few weeks, I love it. Smooth ride, plenty of horses, balanced feel. Plenty of torque in the low end. Excellent all around bike. Only minor negatives: At highway speeds of over 70, it feels like you need yet another gear to change into...revs are high. Also, the floorboards will scrape on a tight turn fairly easily. I just bought a C50 Suzuki and I love it. I am a relatively new, woman rider. I am very tall and up there in the pounds (not over 200lbs though). I started on a Suzuki s40 which was a great beginner bike for me. I bought it used, rode it for 1000 miles, then traded in for a new 2009 C50 Suzuki. As a newer rider, sitting on the bike in the showroom was scary - it is big. I had ridden a 1200 Sportster so I could handle the C50, and the salesman said the C50 is the perfect step up for me. I... I love my C50. I have a backrest ordered, may as well get the c50t if you are buying new, although the classic two-up seat is more comfortable. Bad points: some of the chromed plastic is a bit underwhelming, and the stock sound is pretty tame (that could be a good point if you are sneaking between homes late at night). Last word on this bike is she is smooth and highway ready even for my 220lbs with the misses on the back. Plenty of pull, cruises at 80km/hr in fourth and has lots left... (read more)

I ride a 2005 Suzuki C50 with the SE package, essentially the touring package, sans decorative studs on the ample saddle bags and seat. As a first time rider, I wanted a comfortable easy to ride cruiser that I could take for a 3000 km road trip, if so desired. After four riding seasons, shortened by our famous Canadian frigid weather, what I didn't expect was an agile and tossable "big" bike that passes for a cruiser with twice the displacement. The C50 has a longer wheel base at 65.2 inches... (read more)

I've had my Suzuki Boulevard C50 for around 4 months and done just over 3,200 kms (2000miles). This bike is probably pretty good overall for a smaller person, I suppose you'd get reasonable economy, this is my main issue with this bike, it's only a 805cc bike and has the economy of a much larger capacity cruiser.
