Hoegaarden tastes very natural, almost like the nectar to me. Its refreshing yet flowery taste will delight even the most sensitive tongues.

Hoegaarden is one of my favourite beers.

It has a unique, almost tropical fruity taste to it. Cloudy pale yellow in colour and a silky smooth aftertaste.

Enjoy it chilled in the summer.

It has also been known for it to be served with wedge of lemon in the pint glass but i prefer it without.

Hoegaarden is one of my favourite beers.

It has a unique, almost tropical fruity taste to it which makes it quite an aquired taste. Pale yellow in colour with a silky smooth after taste.

Enjoy it nicely chilled in the summer.

The only bad point is that it can be a bit expensive, but it's still value for money for what you get.

Refreshing, sophisticated alternative to mass market lagers and generic ales.

Not cheap, but well worth a punt. Thoroughly recommended with a slice of lemon.

After traveling the world, to me, Hoegaarden is the best beer in the world. It tastes great, and is refreshing.

I like an occasional hefe weizen but can only drink one or two before wanting something else. Hoegaarden is very easy to drink.

I really don't like Beer too much, but Hoegaarden is the exception. The standard White Beer is great everyday drinking material, while the Grand Cru, Julius and Forbidden fruit are a nice treat if you have had a bad day!

Another reviewer said 'Nectar of the Gods. He's damned right!

An acquired taste I find, if you like your lemon in the top it does enhance the flavour but to be honest I prefer the new Kronenberg Blanc. Much more palatable. Still, this is a good beer but it is strong, maybe I'm a lightweight but 4 pints and I feel like singing, ok if you're not on a big night out but stick to fosters if you fancy an all day session!

Hoegaarden has a lovely taste, is ideal for a warm summer's evening and still has that "exotic" feel despite being a bit mass-produced these days. The only downside is the price in UK pubs- often more than £3 a pint. From off-licences/shops it can be reasonable value though.

Hoegaarden is a great beer if you can afford it. I believe that if you live in North America such as I do, you may feel that the price is a bit too much. However, dont pass it up if you see it in your local beer isle. It is definitely a beer worthy of apprecation by connoisseurs.

Firstly, Hoegaarden is not a lager, it is a wheat beer, with added herbs therefore, if you are expecting a Lager/Pilsner taste, forget it!
What you will get is a delicate initial taste with a unique aftertaste (coriander?).
I have to say, though, that, while it is good, if we are talking wheat beers, I prefer Korenwolf, but that is another story.

Hoegaarden is the nector of the Gods. Only the most sophisticated of beer coniseurs will appreciate the fruity/ entertaining zest of this Belgian classic. Thankfully, there will be more for me as the other critics will be drinking the donkey wee of the Isles.

I had my 1st taste of Hoegaarden couple of weeks ago and thought it was the worst lager I`ve tasted. I might as well have been drinking SKOL.

Hoegaarden is a lovely, refreshing drink, great in summertime. You must have a slice of lemon in this drink to fully appreciate this beer.

Hoegaarden is my favourite beer, but I can't lie to you, I have had people tell me they don't like it. This beer has a very unique and interesting taste. It's light at the beginning, with a touch of bitterness followed by an aftertaste that is full-bodied and quite unique. I would say Hoegaarden is worth a try, just because it's so different to a lot of other beers I have tasted.

If you skull it, you might not notice the interesting qualities, because I think they are more evident in the b ...
