Budvar, how to set this off, everytime I talk about it people get confused and mistake it for a budweiser spin off, history lesson 101 for you. its from Česk Budějovice (or in german Budweis) now lets get the record straight. Budweiser is nickname term for someone from the city of Budweis. budweiser is a cheap american intimadation rip off of the famous Czech original and somehow got commericial success...
Ive had both and let me tell you budweiser doesnt even come close to the superberness of the original Czech lager. ok its more expensive but considering its sourced the finest ingredients and clean water from wells over 300 metere deep the cost is easily justified and id buy it anyday. You can tell its the original and the best, look at the bottle you'll see it bares the coat of arms from the city of budweis unlike the intimdator thats actully brewed in USA? WRONG Belgium .. and im not biased here I love some belgium beers I really do.
The beer is delighfully crisp full of flavour with no nasty side affects, which you might get from some stronger grade lager) very aromatic and sips down a treat on any ocassion... a nice clean finish as well and always brings you back for more... I cant praise it enough go and get some yourself.. and if you dubious to my review look at the others, youll find many of them prasing including a review in a magazine where it won the award for best lager. Budvar really is the true King of beers! Accept no intimdations and try it yourself trust me you'll feel the same.

Budvar is excellent beer, great, refreshing. How lager should be! One thing the Czechs know about is making beer. Plzen is a town there which is the home to the original Pilsen, and then there is the Czech ORIGINAL Bubweiser or Budvar.
A great, flavoursome lager (though is actually relatively dark as lagers go). A refreshing taste, great in summer. In fact it's almost as good in an English back garden as it is in a pictruresque square in Prague. That's to say it travels well because it is only ...- Read Woodie09's review (173 words)

My buddy Glenn introduced me to Budvar a few years ago now, and I much prefer it to the manky American product.
Budweiser is the name of a pilsner style beer brewed from as early as 1265 in the city of Ceske Budejovice(Czech Republic). The name Budweiser is derived from the German name for the town, Budweis. The town once held the accolade of being the royal brewer for the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire no less. Budweiser Budvar is produced in four varieties, although the regular red label ...- Read Anonymous101's review (286 words and 1 comment)
