I have been with this company on and off over several years and only leave when I have found a cheaper quote. As I had my first claim this year I can only praise the customer service and support. When my cover came up for renewal instead of just leaving I called them to see if they could help match it. They came close but as they have such a good team and easy to contact I'm staying. They are quick to send out necessary paperwork and considerate to my job with regards to contact made.

I crashed my car for the first time in 30 years of driving recently and therefore this was my first experience of dealing with a car insurance company for this reason. I phoned the claims department and the member of staff couldn't have been more helpful. He asked me detailed questions on what happened and kindly said I should take my time as my voice must have suggested I was re-living the accident. No other vehicles were involved and nobody was hurt. On the day of the accident a recovery vehicle had been sent by the RAC and taken us to the nearest tyre shop for 2 new tyres. Sheila's Wheels advised that I should send the receipts for the tyres and the recovery and the cost would be reimbursed, which it was within 5 days. I was advised that a local car workshop would contact me within the next 48 hours to arrange an assessment of the damage and to bring me a courtesy car. I received the call later the same day. Unfortunately they could not assess my car until the following week but I had the use of my daughter's car so I was lucky. The person came from the workshop at the pre-arranged date and time bringing with him a courtesy car and driving my car away. The paperwork was a little time consuming but not too bad. In 48 hours I received a call from the assessor to say the car was beyond economical repair followed by a very comprehensive email outlining what would happen next. I followed the instructions carefully and as my car was on finance I spoke with the finance company who were also excellent. A settlement figure was sent from my finance company to Sheila's Wheels and within 5 days the finance company received their money and I received the balance. I now have another car and the whole process took exactly one month. Thank you to all the Sheila's Wheels staff who helped me through this.

Generally people only write a review when things are bad hence not being able to find a good review on any insurance company, where are all the good reviews?? Not here that's for sure. I have been using Sheilas Wheels for my car insurance for 3yrs now and am renewing with them again next month. I have not had any problems with them or their customer service.

I had an accident which at the end of the day was my fault. I drove into the back of the car in front. One call to Sheilas wheels and within 24 hrs my car was collected and I had a courtesy car left. The car was returned in as-new condition after repair. My two passengers were invited to claim for injuries direct to Sheilas Wheels who dealt with their claims efficiently. I had protected no-claims and have just had my renewal. Insurance has gone up by £4 per month. I really couldnt ask for better service and would not consider going to another company. Well done Sheilas Wheels.

A man crashed into my wife in sainsburys car park made a mess of the rear bumper on a bmw 320d she only got his mobile forgot to get his name and adrres as my 2 kids were in the car,so i got home phoned the number to speak to the man as this would have been cheaper for him to pay for it to be fixed than go to his insurance company,but his wife answered and denied all phoned shelias wheels gave them the mobile number ands the reg and all was sorted in weeks.great stuff..and james street motors even gave the car a full valet as this was the company who did the repair.

I wrote my car off last week (Wednesday evening)
I was kept informed every day on what progress was being made. The car was collected promptly on the Thursday, assessors saw it the next day and the garage rang me with their opinion immediately, the insurance company made me an offer on Tuesday & cheque arrived today, Friday. I cannot fault their service and would recommend to everybody.

I had a no fault claim whilst insured with Sheilas Wheels. They treated me in a brilliant way from start to finish. They even took the other party (a bus company) to court because the bus copmpany claimed the accident never even happene. They put me in touch with their solicitors and provided a top London Barrister for me. We won the case and my excess was refunded immediately.
I did have to chase the claims dept a bit at first, but then ALL companies claims depts are being cut to the bone nowadays with too much work for too few people, so you need to be a bit savvy about that.
Sorry to hear others have not had the same experience with them. They are not the cheapest for me this year but I think I will stick with them anyway.

In the past I've made 2 claims for cars against different insurers. Both weren't my fault, and both were an ordeal.
I had an accident on a Friday night, which was completely my fault, and reported it on Saturday to a UK call centre who were so helpful. The damage was quite significant and was believed it would be a write off.
I can't fault Sheila's wheels, or their repairer for the service I've had and the speed at which it has been done. The car was picked up on the Monday, assessed on Tuesday, a courtesy car delivered on Wednesday and my car returned on the Friday, better than before.
I am amazed at how great they've been, particularly with all the bad reviews on here. I will be sticking with them!

I am really impressed with shiela's wheels. I recently had an accident, my initial call to the company sorted out all the details quickly and easily. My car was collected and a courtesy car delivered two days later at a convenient time. I have been able to monitor progress on the repair online and the repair was completed in two weeks and my car delivered to the door. Thank you for a good outcome to a rotten experience

i insured with sheilas wheels through a comparison website, and for once decided to go with one of the cheaper companies, basicaly crossing my fingers that everything would be fine if i ever needed to make a claim. well after 9 years of no accidents i had an accident and sheilas wheels were put to the test. i can not praise them highly enough, i was dealt with by some very nice ladies on the phone, i received nothing but help and courteous manners, sympathising with my situation. thay called me to check details after my first call, and the damage i did to another car was repaired within a week or two if i remember rightly. they even offered a courtesy car to the person who's car i had damaged but it wasnt needed. i was extremely impressed and thankful that it went so easily as it was my neighbour!!
i feel that these websites do not get enough people praising the good, so the reader has a biased view as only unhappy customers generally complain!!
it is worth noting that if u r involved with another car in an accident it will take 6-12 months to sort out because u r waiting for another company and people too, u just have to accept these things take time, it isnt fair but true!!!
i thiunk its really the luck of the draw, i always try to be pleasant to the customer services employees, am honest with information and it seems to work!
if u read about other car insurance companies u will find exactly the same on all sites.
although my premium has gone up this year because of my accident i guess, i will probably still go with sheilas wheels just because of the brilliant way they have dealt with my questions and queries over the last year, (and when i checked on websites they compare to others)cant understand why some have a new renewal of over £1000 more!!maybe they added a 18 year old!!!
i cant praise sheilas wheels enough!

I had an accident a few weeks ago which i was at fault. Within 3 weeks i had my payout for my car which was written off. The staff were very helpful at the repair centre and at the insurers. I have been very impressed with all aspects of these insurers, and would definately recommend to family and friends.

After purchasing my Alfa Romeo in 2008 I obtained a few online quotes and found Sheils Wheels to be the cheapest for me fully comp and offering a courtesy car alongside. I have been insured with them for 1 year and a half now unfortuneatly last night I was in a collision with another car, he lost control and the back of his car slid into mine. I'm not quite 24hrs into my claim and I have had an amazing level of contact and support from the guys at Sheils Wheels my courtesy car is being delivered tomorrow and any concerns have been delt with to complete satisfaction. I honestly can't fault them. Complete peace of mind with them dealing with everything and taking care of the situation. I receive regular text and phone call updates from them advising me of the progress of my claim which of course is a relief in itself. They are the way to go and I would recommend them to anyone.

I have had an excellent service from Sheila's Wheels. They gave me the cheapest quote I have seen. Much cheaper than any other leading insurance group! They sent me emails immediately giving me details of my quote and my policy! I then received everything in the post within a week!
Very impressed!

I have recently just had my car written off and Sheilas Wheels were very efficient, within an hour of the accident I had a hire car arranged, solicitor appointented for injury claim and my car being collected from the recovery yard. Before I went on holiday 2 days later the garage had confirmed that it was a right off. I then went on holiday for 2 weeks and when I returned I had the valuators on the phone offering me a price for my car, within 4 days the cheque had arrived. I'm guessing I have been very lucky also with the other party admitting full liability. I would recommend Sheilas Wheels on the experience I have received, bearing in mind the other party admitted full liabilty, so it was easy going for me.

Came up best price on 3 comparison sites, saved £130 on existing policy. Received follow-up call very soon after visiting website. Courteous and friendly staff so far, so good! Have read reviews that say customer service not very good in 2007 so hope that this has now improved.

It was really easy to insure with them over the phone. The gentleman I spoke to was extremely helpful and friendly.
It is a slightly embarrassing looking insurance document with the Sheila's Wheels logo, as it is a bit naff!
The best comment I can think of is that I am due for renewal and I will definitely renew with Sheila's Wheels if the quote is right!!!

I would recommend people to contact Sheilas Wheels and gain a quote. I have been driving for 23 years without one accident but when I did they dealt with my claim brilliantly.

Got a great saving on my car insurance by using Sheilas Wheels. I have told my friends to give Sheila a ring to see if they can get reduced quotes and they've all managed it. This lot don't insure blokes, which helps them keep their prices low - they don't have to pay out because of clumsy Mr Magoo's and boy racers!!! The girls are quids in and that's just the way I like it!! Plus they have the best adverts on TV!!!! Go Sheila!!!!
