I use Amazon.co.uk Credit Card as my main card because of a low interest rate for being a long term 'good' customer. Even with the interest hyke after phoning customer services, they kept mine the same. The internet banking system is poor though, blocking it's usage and looking outdated. Good customer service. I was rewarded with a lower interest rate for being a long term good customer. I also received my £15 voucher moreorless straightaway through email. Bad points are poor online banking service, looks outdated and occasionally does not work properly.

Nice to have £15 introductory Amazon voucher, but woeful online banking web page which rarely seems to work. When it does allow you to access your account, you can forget about viewing statements as this feature rarely works either. You will end up relying on the monthly posted statement, which does not do much for the environment or encourage online banking!

I have had my card since October 2007 and am still waiting for my £15 to be taken of orders through amazon website as promised if approved for a card. I am still waiting? After numerous calls to Amazon it is now February 2008 I would not recommend this company.

Online system is awful, it's down most of the times I try. When you do get through it will refuse to show you the statements and recent transactions. Support are useless.

Unresponsive to phone calls, awkward web interface, and automatic fees for late payments

Approximately four out of five times I tried to get online, and I found that my account had been frozen. This forced me to ring the Amazon credit card helpline (which costs money) for them to reset the password. It is beyond a joke the amount of times it has happened.

The website hardly ever works (which is probably the cause of my account freezes, as I try to login too many times)!

I have had my first ever late payment (in 22 years of banking). I transferred the money 6 days before it was ...

I could not have had a worse experience. I have still not received a letter confirming cancellation of the card, which I had to make after the first month since I could not take any more of the experience with the Amazon credit card. Since then I've racked up huge bills in time and on international calls getting nowhere.

Initially I thought the Amazon credit card was OK due to the long interest free period. However, when you start trying to navigate the online section it is a complete mess, and that is when it works.

I was told my minimum payment online and subsequently paid the amount early. I was then charged £25 and had my limit reduced because I had not made the correct payment! No amount of explaining and providing screen shots would make them listen, and it was always the same... the system says.. ...

I was attracted to the Amazon store card by the Amazon name, as that is a brand that I have had good experiences with in the past. However, this credit card has no real resemblance to Amazon.co.uk. It is really pretty poor. I will be taking out a replacement card with a better provider shortly, as the online servicing just plain doesn't work. You have to resort to paying your bill with a cheque in the post.

Interest rates are OK, but they charge an admin fee for the 0% transfer period of a c ...

The Amazon.co.uk credit card is my first true credit card (I got a Vanquis one with only £250 before), and I got it during my student days; that is before I had any real income or job. I just filled out the application to 'try my luck', and I was told online that I had been approved for a £1700 credit limit! That is how students get into deep debts.

I got the paperwork quickly, and I just needed to sign and return it. The card arrived just days later.

    Everything works fine! Bil ...
