    Good Points: This is the third time I have been to Orchid Bay and I am pleased to see that the quality has been maintained (if not improved). In fact, the welcome you receive there is second-to-none in Bedfordshire! The food is exquisite and authentically Thai, with a good range of dishes. The set menu is particularly good value for money.


    Bad Points: It can get very popular on the weekends and Friday nights, so you need to book early.
    It is tempting to try a lot of dishes and regret it afterwards with too full a stomach.


    General comments: As a business traveller to Bedford I make a beeline for the Orchid Bay Thai restaurant, as it serves the best Thai food outside of London. It's great to entertain in, as the decor is stylish and the staff are attentive, but not "in your face". Its a gem!

    Discovered Orchid Bay with the very well made website that contained lots of colours which pushed me towards booking on the 27th Dec for my wifes birthday. Arrived at 19:00, restaurant was freezing cold so kept our jackets on. We were then handed a menu, a Christmas menu, which normally becomes a problem as my wife is a vegetarian and I am not.     The best thai I have eaten has been at Orchard Bay. I came from West London, and have tried many Thai restaurants, and will definitely be taking the 60 mile trip again, the food was superb, in a good setting.
