Fantastic Hotel. Huge Room with Seaviews. Grounds are linked with St James Club so excellent facilities. Had a great holiday!! Staff need to be trained in Customer Services Skills! A smile at times by the Staff would not go amiss!! A fab Hotel with great facilities. Lovely Beaches. The Drinks cart is a great idea!! Will def go back.

If you want isolation and bad attitude, constant changes in the "rules" and arguments with staff over your requests then this is the place for you. For all other civilized travellers, I would not recommend St James Beach Club. What was advertised on the internet and through Interval International, this resort did not meet even the 3-star quality.

Rooms are spacious and have nice sea views. The Hotel is well kept and rooms are cleaned daily. The drinks buggy on the beaches is great.
The level of poverty you see when you do manage to 'breakout' of the resort via a hire car or taxi is quite shocking and leaves you feeling very guilty as you make your way back to your plush hotel.

My husband booked this holiday for my 40th birthday, and the hotel looked just as it did in the brochure. Mamora bay was absolutly stunning and hot, whereas the other beach was windy. Dont be fooled by the wind it really burns. The staff were friendly and the hotel entertainment was good and varied from night to night - (recommend the international crab racing & the steel band and fire eater) the golf buggy was great bringing drinks to you on the beach. Overall a great place to have a loung ...

My husband and I got married there 4 years ago. Everything was organised and went smoothly and we had a wonderful time. We have now been going there for 4 consecutive years and have never had a complaint. The staff are always friendly and recognise us - we get greeted with hugs and kisses everytime. The food is excellent with plenty of choice. The rooms are large and airy. The beach is always clean and there are always plenty of loungers available. There is a choice of Atlantic beach or C ...

Went to St James Beach club in Antigua in March 2008, and would not go again. Had to wait over two hours on first day for room to be made up. Guests saved beach loungers with towels and then did not turn up all day. All restaurants were dark. Hard to get service from some of bar staff, let alone a smile! Rooms not made up until almost 5pm some days. Staff at Coco restaurant were really nice, my husband had bit of sun burn and they helped with local "cures" lovely people! Diving pelicans ar ...

The holiday of my life! The golf buggy that drove up and down the beach handing drinks out (inc coconuts), Timothy Dalton was there! The staff - so friendly and extremely funny! Free alcohol, I had never tried a champagne cocktail before! The food, it was on a weekly rota and great, the atmosphere of the restaurant was sophisticated, yet relaxed.
The water sports activities on the other side of the complex.
The tours that the hotel recommended - with rum if your boat falls apart!

Spent two weeks here, Hotel is split into two a more formal side or the Beach Club which is very relaxed. Food quality was excellent although a little repetative. Service always with a smile.
