    Good Points: Excellent location and boat dock was useful. Room furnishings were very new. Excellent bathtub. Nice view of the canal from the room window.


    Bad Points: Staff communication was very poor especially around breakfast arrangements. As a result, we were not able to enjoy their breakfast due to the bad communication of time schedule. There was a bad smell in hallways and strong soap chemical smell in the rooms. Sheets, towels and bathrobes had very strong soap smell to the point of being uncomfortable. TV did not provide for other than local latvian channels as advertised. Parking lot was NOT guarded as advertised. Dog in adjacant room was able to be heard in our room barking. They advertised the room like an apartment but the furniture choices and arrangement resulted in the apartment feature not being useful.


    General comments: Overall, we would NOT recommend the Liepaja hotel as value for money was poor. Room was nice but price was way to high for what was provided. Staff tried to be friendly; but, their communication even in local languages was not effective. We provided immediate written feedback to the management after the stay; but 3 weeks later now, no response from the hotel.
