Good Points: Fabulous graphics. Amazing to play wih a friend, loads of fun. Everything that the original on the Saturn lacked. (Although it still retails at £25 at Gamestation as opposed to HOTD 2 which is only £ 5 showing for the Saturn it was stll a gem!) Light guns are ESSENTIAL!!
Bad Points: No save capacity for those of us who don't have time to devote hours to gameplay. I have never clocked the game completely, getting stuck around the fourth boss every time. Bah! Also as anyone who has followed the series either in arcade or on console will know the story and monsters are constantly rehashed. But hey ho! If it ain't broke don't fix it...
General comments: As mentioned The House of the Dead 2 can now be obtained for £5 (even with a BOGOF deal at the moment) so in fact £2.50! Light Guns will set you back less than £10 each and regularly appear on E-Bay. Proof again that the DC series still stands up against anything on PS2/XBOX/GC a good five years after it's demise. Great fun at a snip. The DC lives... even if it is through the rotting stench of a thousand zombie corpses, just waiting to be annhialated. For more DC fun investigate "Typing Of The Dead"...

The House of the Dead 2 - Sequel to Sega Saturn and Arcade shoot 'em up. The House of the Dead is yet another arcade perfect home conversion for the Dreamcast. I suspect that if you set a Dreamcast up next to the actual Coin-op machine, you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference - it's that good a port over.
If you are unfamiliar with this game, here's how it works. It's a light gun game where the action is viewed through the eyes of a secret agent sent to investigate weird goings ...
