Meteor calls are a cent or two cheaper than Vodafone but.... Very very poor coverage, Meteor drop calls that last for more than 4 mins. Customer service is appalling.

Excellent service. It is very good value, and having free calls and texts to other Meteor Ireland customers is brilliant! i found the customer service very good, and am happy. I was an o2 customer, but found that making calls was very expensive. Meteor is much better value all round. Coverage is very good around where I live, while o2 was quite bad.- Read bubbles2351's review (63 words)

Changed from Vodafone 6 weeks ago - meteor might be cheaper but I have found their service to be terrible. it feels like i have had nothing but trouble during my mobile phone calls and any time i ring customer service i feel like im passed around from person 2 person and it seems that no one can apparently fix my problem. 6 weeks into my contract and i want to cancel due to poor coverage and an interferance on my phone meteor want me to pay cancellation fees to end my contract and I don't think ...- Read Lornaoconnor's review (105 words)

Just changed from vodafone to meteor, had no problems with vodafone but the rates much better with meteor. Since changing to meteor my coverage seems to be worse. It seems to cut on and off during conversations. Don't think I've had one conversation without it fading.- Read evelynch's review (51 words)

I am generally happy with the service of my phone, I don't like contacting customer service as they tend to be slow and not totally informed on the company's policy's.- Read jpwm0915's review (49 words)

Switched from O2 a few years ago and have been very happy since, for me the coverage, which was a problem with O2, is excellent in Dublin and in the Midlands when my friend on O2 has problems, can't speak for Vodafone customers but it is extremely overpriced anyway. Everything is fantastic value- cheap calls, cheap/free texts, free voicemail and customer service, lots of free credit with new phones, free incoming calls in the UK and I find the customer service extremely helpful. Can't fault them ...- Read Guest's review (88 words)

Meteor Ireland uses national roaming. Prefer network that can stand on its own feet.
Data roaming: as a regular traveller I got frustrated that I couldn't us my phone abroad to check email. The services they offer are quite basic. Not suitable for business traveller. Technologically lagging. No 3G. The coverage isn't bad, overall, except in the places where I needed it (home, my office) but that is quite individual.- Read rattema's review (75 words)

Great network, it's just a pity that the majority of people that are not with Meteor still have the mind that the network coverage is terrible. This is going back to when they first launched, and it's still hard for people to grasp the fact that meteor have 99% coverage, and for those small number of areas where they have low signal strength, it automatically switches to the Vodafone coverage. So it really does keep you on great coverage all the time. I never have any problems.- Read dmn's review (137 words)
