Bad Points: I think the car could do with intermittent rear wiper. Also, why didn't they design an automatic with cruise control - I think that would be perfect. Only other thing is quality of interior fittings in my opinion.

General comments: My later version of Fiat Multipla (2005) has been quite a surprise to me. So far (49000 miles) no problems. Besides reliability, it's economical, spacious, light and comfortable. Been back and forwards to continent with luggage and passengers many times - great to get 6 people in comfort. No other MPV can do that. Didn't expect this from Fiat.

Just to clarify - To all drivers of these 'tanks -on -wheels' no matter how hard you push them, they WILL NOT and CANNOT 'out accelerate' the Citroen Piccasso HDI 1.6 with overboost. That is, unless the Piccasso stops, of course.

I got the Fiat Multipla because I needed a people carrier to carry five children. Although every man alive has an opinion about it's exterior looks, inside it is the best car I have ever driven. Motorway driving is smooth and comfortable. All seats recline so sleeping on long journeys is easy for all five passengers.

For some reason i feel I like the Multipla. It's everything I dont want to like but it has a practicality and charm all of its own! It's like falling in love with an aesthetically challenged woman! But it's economic versatile and just loves to please. I had a crank sensor go at 30,000 miles(sensor cost £20 and repair bill £700 courtesy of the dealership and the crank seal leak was still unfixed!). The tracking needs seeing to more often than a Scalextrix car! But cannot deny it is no ...
