Please do not order anything from these fraudsters Jean-Patrique Cookware. I honestly don't know how they are still trading. We should all be contacting trading standards to get them closed down. I was offered a free knife set which I decided to go for. I then upgraded to include an extra 2 knives (£6) and a knife block (£6). Add on the postage and you are looking at £19.99 in total. When it all arrived the knife block was chipped so I called the company. They advised that if I returned the knife block to them at my cost, they would refund the postage and then either replace or refund the knife block. I chose a replacement. I am shocked to see how many people have had a bad experience. I was a little suspicious seem to be very very low and we all know that nothing is cheap anymore. I order a stone pizza baker and it arrived within 48h and I also got the free pizza cutter. Ok the cutter is by all means no high quality version but it does the job - and it didnt cost me anything after all. Products boasted "top-of-the-range" at discount prices. Ordered turned up late and damaged beyond use: requested replacement which also turned up late and damaged. Waited over a month for a refund and then another 3 weeks for refund of return postage. Know others who have also been dupped. They say if it's too good to be true then it probably isn't true - this company should adopt that as their mantra - they are appalling. How this company remains in business is a complete mystery, placed my order in July 2012 started chasing in October finally received partial order in January 2013 ! Whether I ever get the rest of it remains to be seen. Absolute rubbish service, I will not recommend nor ever buy anything further from them. Buy from them at your peril !!!! (read more)

Agree with other reviews, I was bought the set for £300, some pans didn't arrive, those that did were damaged, dreadful customer service, loads of wasted time waiting in for collections and numerous phone calls, emails and letters. The wooden handles wobble when you pick them up, they are so heavy this is really dangerous. Rubbish service, rubbish value for money. Do not buy. (read more)

This company is now offering a 'Free' 5 piece knife set if you sign up for their catalogue - sounds good, but after you have entered your details they request £7.99, as they have had fraudulent claims! They say this will be refunded in the form of a rebate to be used when buying an item from the catalogue. After reading other reviews here, I will not be paying them anything. I now expect to be bombarded with junk mail as they will have registered my details. (read more)

Do not buy there pans, they are awful! When cooking the handle of the pans become so hot I have burnt my hands with them and have got painful blisters! Avoid like the plague. Bought a special deal pan with knife set. I was told it would be a long delivery wait 60 odd days( cant remember now ). Not a problem, not in any rush. Never recieved confirmation of my order. Money taken from my account. I would never recommend this awful company. I was promised that the knife set I ordered would be delivered within 14 days... they didn't and then had to wait another 14 days before I could submit a claim for a refund/replacement set. I spent so much time and money on the phone to Jean-Patrique (DREADFUL, cold, uncaring, almost robotic customer (un) service) that I eventually gave up at about day 36 and chose to write off the money I'd paid and learn from my mistake. Check on money saving expert as it look as if they have exceeded the lime limit in which to supply your goods. The site will also tell you how to cancel etc.

We bought a complete set of Jean Patrique pots and pans in 2002 for £99.99 as advertised in The Guardian (free set of excellent quality knives included). We were amazed at the quality and have used them every day since without a single complaint. Ten years later, we had to replace a couple that had been damaged by inadvertantly burning them dry. Thank you for that review, I was tempted to buy a set of these saucepans which were supposed to have been reduced from £499 to £99, so now won't bother. At the end of the day, you have to view products in the flesh to detrimine what you are buying. On line purchases are all well and good if you are 100 per cent sure what you are buying, otherwise, go and check out the merchandise in a reputable shop!

Purchased a granite pestle & mortar set. Enquired about expected delivery 5 days later and was informed that it had not been "picked" yet. Received incorrect item almost 2 weeks later. On enquiry, was informed that they had no stock of the granite, so sent a "brushed metal" one in it's place. I ordered a kitchen roll holder from Jean Patriques 15 Feb 2011, I rang them at the beginning of March querying the whereabouts of my delivery and was told it would be delivered END APRIL when it was back in stock (a staggering 10 weeks after ordering) AND it is not their policy to inform customers of delays! I placed an order on 2nd December 2010 for a knife and board set.
on 14th December it was allegedly despatched, it is now 20th December and it has not arrived, I am not holding out any chance of receiving it.
Their call centre is matter is fact, do not care one way or another and they charge 10p per minute for the service and make sure that it takes several of them before answering.
The website states quick delivery, it must be a joke?
Not impressed and will not be ordering...

Pans are of a good standard and clean very easily.
Only thing to watch when cooking - the handles heat up and a towel is required to be wrapped around the handle.

3 years ago I bought a set of Jean Patrique pans which included an excellent free knife set with wooden block. The order form said it would take about 28 days which wasn't too far off. I didn't appreciate just how much you get for your money - lots of pans and accoutrement's, all stainless steel and top quality. I use them every day, and I have had several friends buy sets that they have been over the moon with.

worst company ever - avoid at all costs. jean patrique cookware is basically a SPAM company, not a reputable kitchenware supplier at all.
