Shows motel pricing as substantially less than the corporate site. However, they tack on so much more fees, etc....that it ended up a total of $50 more for a 3 night stay than the pricing on the original site... Don't waste your time using this site. (read more)

I have booked through Venere several times, why is it that the hotels always sound very nice at booking time but when we arrive to check in. the Hotels always give us the worst rooms in the worst parts of the hotel. When we object, they show us one or two other rooms that are equally bad, they never show us their more desirable rooms; I think it has something to do with the compensation relationship between Verene and the Hotels. Hello, I do like Venere, especially for reservations for hotels in Italy. You seem to have the best selection for small bed & breakfast hotels. But I did notice as I was planning a trip to Pais this past April 11th to the 20th, where I had several reservations wth Venere, that I was not able to modify an existing reservation online. Venere.com requires cancellation to be made two days prior to check-in but in my case, I do not have two days because I intended to stay in the hotel reserved. And trying to get my $433 back has been time consuming and frustrating. They promised to refund after many calls and emails and said it would take 20 days to show up on my account. We'll see.
